Within the tomb (G23) - a Guzzi SF adventure

Guzzi strode from the chamber, the effects of the alcohol giving him a warm feeling inside and the kind of bravery he knew he'd regret later.

"They're through here, the rock forsaken schez."

He led Jazz down, Up?, a lengthy corridor and into a vast space easily one hundred times the size of the chamber they were just in. Then he retrieved his pack from his shoulders, rummaged around in it and pulled out an odd looking pistol.

"What are you doing?" Jazz managed to ask in the time it took for Guzzi to finish fiddling with the knobs on the gun's barrel, and fire it three times in different directions.

Three balls of light shot from the gun to take up roughly equidistant positions in the cavern, then slowly began to grow in size and luminosity.

"Stop looking. You'll go blind," said Guzzi.

Jazz laughed.

"Seriously."

She ripped her eyes from the spectacle and looked down at her feet. All she could see was a the bright afterglow crowding out her vision.

"Schez..."

Blinking, she looked up. Around the walls, the entombed were gaining definition as the light grew. "They're... in the wall."

"They are the wall." Guzzi scooped up his pack and moved towards the centre of the space. The floor was thick with randomly placed boxes full of strange looking technology - sporting similar looks to the pieces Guzzi used.

"How did you know what to take?" asked Jazz.

"I didn't. I just took whatever I wanted."

Jazz stopped. "Well why didn't you say?"

Schmeep appeared in the chamber it had only recently left, and walked quickly towards the corridor the two humans had entered a few minutes before.

TNT, I'm a power load. TNT, watch me explode..." he gravelled.

Then Hurry Schmeep, Sapphire's votive sang clearly in its ear. They wake, even now. Please Hurry."

Schmeep turned abruptly. "I go as fast as I am able," it said.
