Ulog #07 - Beaches be quiet 🤐
Hey Steemians and Uloggers
Decided to drop a ulog on you folks, steemit has been pretty quiet of late with the price tanking into the 70 cent region and so we normally hear the doomsday talk coming! Many of the steemians who are here are pretty new and aren’t seeing the site in context so dips tend to hit them hard even though the value of steem is 5x higher than it used to be just 2 years ago
looking for a reason
When the prices go down people start pointing fingers and looking for answers! It’s the curation, it’s the reward pool, it’s the spammers, it’s the research credit system , it’s the whales being stingy, it’s the bid botters! We’ve heard it all before and yes the is some merit to it but if you can’t do anything but complain about it why even bother? So I say just maybe have some fun and be quiet

So back to my Ulog! I’m not too phased with the state of steemit and I’m just here to vlog my thoughts and not think too much about the rest of it! It’s been hot as the devils balls in Cape Town lately and I was starting to become irritable and sweaty so I thought I’d take a drive down the west coast to visit the old folks and get some quiet time
Cape towns beaches in the metro are pretty busy with everyone trying to beat the heat so a little hours drive to get a beach all to yourself isn’t a bad option! These beaches be quiet and I like em like that

To give you a little taste of what it’s like to have the beach to yourself I thought I’d share some pics I snapped

So how’s your weekend going? How are you handling the heat or rather cold in your part of the world?
Also if you’re feeling bummed about steem just think I got paid to blog some bs about a beach lol where else are you going to get that kinda deal? golos? Weku?whaleshares? Trybe? Minds?
Y’all go ahead and use those social sites and I’ll stick with steem and I’ll be waiting for you when you get back

Cool post @chekohler, in answer to your question, I’m having a great weekend! Any better would be illegal.
I’m with you about any of the other sites, this is the only one I’ve ever done, I’m not going anywhere. When the fork caused people to venture over to WeKu I did some research and learned there’s only one witness on that platform. I couldn’t understand why it was still being promoted.

Love those types of beaches, where there isn't a million tourists sprawled about.
It makes me laugh that people freak out about Steem and the prices. If anything these times are good for the platform, it removes the excess mooches just looking to try to come on here, blog a little bit then take any money they make and go elsewhere. If you're truly trying to make money on the Internet you won't put all of your efforts into one platform, you spread it around everywhere you can and work on just increasing your audience.
It's coming up to summer for you in SA now right? I've never been south of the equator so it's strange for me thinking of hot weather in December and January!
Lol they are the best beaches and often hidden gems you don't actually want to share since you want to keep it your own little quiet place. Lol steemit is fuck around money well all crypto is actually, you put some in you take some out you put some in and you shake it all about
LOL same goes for me, my first white christmas was so wierd I couldn't deal with all that snow and cold and shit, Christmas at the beach is all I know.

Thanks, lol my photography skills aren’t every good though! Yeah I kinda dig it they only recently installed it so it’s easier to get to the beach!

Well its mostly old folks that live here so they struggle to get to the beach walking through the sand lol

Bwa ha ha ha haaa!
It looks like a nice day to be at the beach! Alas it is gravitating towards winter here, and it was quite cold and rainy all weekend.. As far as the price of steem is concerned, I'm not too worried about it. I concider this to be a longterm investment for myself. Besides all crypto is down for the most part isn't it?
Ah well I'll enjoy an extra few rays of sunshine on your behalf lol. Winter has its own charms and comforts though, getting cosy infront of the fire with some hot chocky is the real deal. Yeah all crypto is technically down but its still worth much more than it was a few years ago, everyone needs to calm down and not be greedy little goblins. This isn't a get rich quick scheme
