  • Introduction

Welcome to the 154th edition of #traveldigest! Enjoy!
As always all posts featured here will be put on our Editors Choice Map.

Heya, @martibis here with another edition of #traveldigest.

I also have an announcement for you guys. We have decided to take a two week break from the traveldigests, as all of us have a lot going on at the moment. This will also allow for me (@martibis) to have some more development time and look for some sponsors for the project as the way we're currently running is not really sustainable from a financial point of view. Perhaps I'll even take a day off here and there, haha! If you're willing to support Steemitworldmap yourself definitely reach out to me either in a comment here or on Discord: Steemitworldmap and Martibis#2314

If you do have an exceptional travelpost and feel it should be on the Editors Choice Map reach out to me on Discord in our channel in PAL and I'll try to check it.

Cheers and see all of you in two weeks!

#1 The vibrant colours of Little India - Singapore

@fiftysixnorth takes us to a unique part of Singapore - Little India. The area is typified by all its colors, which makes it feels a constant tribute to the Holi Festival. There is a clear overlap between Indian and Singaporean lifestyle, the street markets with little stalls selling all the typical Indian products, in contrast to the murals on the side of buildings, which is something you wouldn't really find in India. It's the beauty of a place where cultures blend together. During the time @fiftysixnorth was there he found a bunch of elephant statues painted in bright vibrant colors as well, which really added to the beauty of the area.

#2 Wow this place is amazing, you should really visit!

@wanderingdanish keeps us in Singapore, but this time we're going to explore an entirely different part of this city - The Garden By the Bay. First things first, the place is huge, filled with tropical plants and trees and they of course hold the very famous artificial trees. There are two domes with flora that wouldn't survive the Singaporean temperature. One holds various plants that are usually found in a cooler temperature, while the other holds flora you would only find in tropical highlands. The second one holds a man-made mountain spanning 7 floors - waterfalls and all included!

#3 Trip to Severn Beach and Clevedon

@rimicane takes us to Clevedon in the UK. After seeing a long pier on google maps, her interest was peaked and she decides to drive out there, thinking it would be a good place for a sunset. Unfortunately, she didn't know the pier is quite famous and has opening times and paid entry - worst of all, it was closed for the rest of the day! Luckily, the city in itself offers a lot more than just the pier. After the sun sets, you can see the light turn on in Wales while you're sitting in England, how cool is that?
