'For Here Evil Things Reside', the end of Part 1 refresher before the release of Part 2.
'Where are you guys?' I thought to Itna.
I felt myself stop breathing as Dumitro leaned over and kissed me. Suddenly the doors burst open. There was Kries, Alex, Itna, and every other Greek I could have ever needed..late.
“You are too late Beast. We have been legally married.”
Dumitro wrapped his arms around me.
“Thank God.”
Kris smiled, walking towards us slowly. My heart broke into a million pieces; he didn't want me... I started to sway.
“Pardon?” Dumitro questioned.
“What are you saying?” I whispered, tears falling.
Itna stepped forth and undid an ancient scroll.
“Dumitro, Leader of the Demon Clan, I hereby banish you and your followers to exile."
Furious, Dumitro screamed, “On what charge?”
“You have broken the treaty laws. The treaty clearly states that no member of either clan may marry any human against their will. You have done so, if you had of waited until she had transformed you would not have broken any laws, but by forcing her to marry you, when her heart belongs to Kries, well..in doing so..you have banished yourself and your followers.”
Dumitro stood there steaming,
entirely caught off guard.
“That is why I thanked God, Dumitro. You have killed yourself..and left me your..very.. beautiful wife,” Kries said as he approached, victorious and beaming.
'I can’t believe it. He loves me still; he doesn’t... hate me for it.' I thought to myself.
I smiled at him, staring into his beautiful eyes. But upon remembering what I knew that he didn't, I lost my illustrious glimmer, rubbed my stomach (I thought without being noticed), and took a deep breath. Just then, Dumitro grabbed me.
“I might have lost this war,” he paused and looked at me, “but I will not lose the battle.”
With that he threw me into the wall.
I crumpled to the floor, motionless.
“No!” Kries yelled.
As Kries and Dumitro ran at each other head to head, Itna slammed his fist straight into the floor. Every demon disappeared, including Dumitro. Itna had sent them to their exile, in a barren tundra at the edge of the world. Kries ran over to a crumpled Clara.
“She…she’s dead, and rapidly turning into a demon. Heal her Itna.”
He stood up. Itna squatted down to access the condition of Clara.
“I can’t Beast.. this is beyond normal healing. You're the only one who can bring her back now.”
He bowed slightly and stepped backward,
using his arm to hold Alexis at bay. He winked at Alexis. Alexis paused and watched Kries. He knew Itna could heal her, so he was confused, but out of respect for Itna, paused and watched anyways. Kries turned towards my body, and knelt next to it. He placed his hands on my stomach and prayed. He poured all of his love, and trust in his healing powers into me. I took a deep breath. He grabbed me and held me.
“Am I still turning into a demon?” I asked.
“No baby.”
He leaned down and kissed me.
“Shall we go home?” Alexis asked triumphantly. Kries helped me up.
“Yes, please," I begged.
I held on tightly to his arm. As we passed through the church doors I stared at them, thinking to myself, 'Fuck those doors.'
