The talking has started and its going well.
In case you missed the recording of the second State of Steem forum is now available.
This one focussed on Steem Technology and covered topics such as nodes, RocksDB, SMTs, RC Delegation Pools, Account creation. It also explored the decision making mechanisms to move development forward as Steemit Inc pulls back.
The speakers on the forum included @blocktrades, @crypto.talk, @helo, @knowledges, @shredz7, @someguy123, @starkerz, @themarkymark, @therealwolf, @upheaver, @ura-soul and @yabapmatt.
So give the forum a listen if you want to keep up to speed with what is going on...
There are six more State of Steem Forums to come - resuming on Thursday 10 January when the focus will be DApps, Apps & Developments. If you would like to be involved in that one please message me on Discord (Pennsif#9921).Now comes the action...
Community Action Point #1 : How should the STEEM blockchain development be funded? (dpoll)
One of the points discussed in the SoS Forum on Thursday was how steem blockchain developments should be funded.
Witness @helo has put up a very useful dpoll to gauge opinion on this. Take a look, place your vote and do your bit for steemocracy...
Community Action Point #2 : Submit your proposals
Another point that came out of the SoS Forum was whether we need a mechanism or central place for gathering steem development and advancement proposals in one place.Very handily @therealwolf has jumped on it and set up a 'repository' for people to submit their ideas and proposals.

Yesterday, as an Action Point from the State of the Steem Forum, I mentioned the idea of pushing the Steem DApps on The State of the DApps site.This has now been picked up further.

I'm the least financial person I know, I'm still in shock my name is on Yahoo Finance ;-)
I think this was a good week for Steem, and with good I mean we touched on some really important points. We have a lot to solve, and I think Wolf's post 'Real Talk' is an important one to read from all mentioned above. If we can make this place more attractive for good or even very awesome developers we have a higher survival rate.
The Forums are an incredible exchange of ideas and possible solutions and an important accelerator in getting things 'out there' which is the beginning of solving them.
