Hip Hop has spawned a wide variety of sounds since it's inception and Toronto has always been on the cutting edge. Growing up in the city I've been well aware of the influences of Caribbean Culture on the music scene, not only on the different styles of Reggae of but also a style of Hip Hop unique to the city that artists like Kardinal Offishall embodies to the fullest.

It's easy to confuse KRS. with the OG Bronx Native "Blastmaster", but this Jamaican-Canadian producer has been making a name for himself with his innovative Soca-fused production style. Thick bass lines mixed with shuffling drums make the ladies wanna shake their booty everytime. Known for his remixes, I particularly liked this one as he put his on twist on Kes The Band's "Falling". Get ready to wave your flag!
