Blank Slate

Spinning
Round and round
on this office chair
so old and dusty
Like carousel
that never halts
I spin and spin and spin

I hold my pen
a wand to clasp
Tight grip
while contemplating
Tick! tock!
my watch reminds
Yet, I still have nothing

No tangled thoughts
My head is blank
My ink is parched
My cup of coffee empty

I stand and sit
and sighed and sighed
and get back to spinning.
