Mornin’ friends! Hope you’re all enjoying this fine Tuesday! 

My hometown back in Canada had a heat warning, but the temperature was only about 90° there. It usually doesn‘t get that warm there, so for them that is really hot, but that’s the regular temperature here in Florida almost year round. So I figured this is the perfect treat to cool anyone down when the heat gets to be too much!

Now you may be asking, what is “nice cream”... well it’s basically ice cream, but made from bananas and it’s typically vegan hence the “nice” in the title. It’s a quick and easy, and always delicious, alternative to ice cream and it is much healthier! 

The options for flavouring it is practically endless. You can make chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, mango, peanut butter, and you can also add in all kinds of toppings & things to mix in. It’s probably the most amazing thing I’ve ever come across in terms of vegan food!

So today I used açai purée, and cherries to make a delicious purple cream. I also added in some superfood greens powder from Amazing Grass, which is incredibly beneficial as well especially if you don‘t get enough greens everyday. 

Superfood Açai Cherry Nice Cream 

Ingredients:

• 1/3 cup cherries (I used frozen pitted cherries)
• 1 packet of acai puree (I used Trader Joe’s brand)
• 1 scoop of Amazing Grass Superfood Greens Powder
• 2 1/2 frozen bananas
• splash of almond milk (or plant based milk of choice) just to help the blender out

Instructions:

1. Place all ingredients into a high speed blender or food processor and blend until thick & creamy
2. Seeve topped with extra fruit, buckwheat, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, or if you want to make it into a smoothie just add more liquid when blending! 
3. Enjoy! 🍨
