This is my submission for this weeks Steemit Open Mic contest by @pfunk and @luzcypher. This week I play an original song called 'You'll Know'.

A nice "traditional" sounding song. It sounds like it has an Irish influence?
Ha! You know, I hadn't even thought of that. But now that you mention it, it does seem to have an Irish influence in the sound. I did write it back when I was getting deep into exploring folk music, including a bunch of Irish folk. I'm guessing that had an effect on me writing this style of song. It's crazy how much things are influencing other things without even me realizing it!

Yeah I am too old to go out to Open Mic nights myself these days, we used to go and my wife would sign a few songs but age has caught up with us
I really enjoyed this. I forgot I was at work for a minute and felt like I was in a coffee shop. The lyrics are very topical. Nice job Derek!
