We have finally come to the end of the module "Employability Skills in 21st Century" which was aimed a making you aware of what skills actually are and the skills that might be needed to increase your Employability opportunities.
Right now, most employers keep complaining that the universities do not produce the kind of employees they need.
This is because these graduate do not possess the skills needed in the workplace. A situation which is called "Graduate Employability Gap".
Recently, more attention is being focused on soft skills which are those interpersonal qualities or traits which are not really technical.
To understand the concept of Soft Skills more, check out Module-3 "Employability Skills in 21st Century".
In A Recent Article by Forbes titled Skill Gap 2020 Creativity, Emotional Intelligence, Collaboration, Persuasion and Adaptability are listed as the Top 5 Soft Skills employers need in 2020.
Skills are not something you acquire once. Soft Skills are gained through experience and mindfulness while some hard skills requires years of training.
So as you go on in life, lookout for opportunities to acquire skills, especially soft skills mentioned in module 3 of this series.
