IDENTITY CRISIS AND PURPOSE DISCOVERY (2)

Purpose discovery is a high sounding phrase that simplifies itself to the discerning of heart.

Truth be told, the words purpose discovery sound so huge when you hear it. They sound like a Herculean task that cannot be surmounted but only when you restructure you mind to be discerning, would you surmount it like men surmounted Everest.

This means that you look inward, outward, the past, your experiences and the common attribute that have made up your life from the time you were born till now and find out one common pattern that always presents itself.

You know, some people say they want to discover purpose but all they do is pray and go back to sleep, expecting God to whisper in their ears, "Hey Grace! Hey Susan! Hey, Josh! This is your purpose!"

Funny enough, when that doesn't happen, they resign and say God isn't speaking. Whereas everyday, God directs their thoughts, sights to vulnerable people and situations they should look into.

But they're just so blind and as long as they remain so, they will never discover and achieve purpose because God gave you brain to give him rest.

Don't get me wrong. Some people have discovered their purpose through divine revelation, miracles or even stumbling upon it through sheer luck.

If you keep waiting to understand your purpose in life by luck, by miracle or some divine revelation, you might wait for a very long long time without any guarantee you will discover it at the end of the day.

Now this is another question you need to ask yourself. What experiences, issues or stories are recurrent in your life? Get a book and write them down.
