Today is #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle (Denise, that's me!!) I hope you will join me as we share different markets across the globe. Every week, I look forward to seeing what you will send me and I am always happy to see so many from all over the world.

This week, I was on a mission of sorts. I needed to find an artificial tree for one of the assited living commuities. There was an empty space in the room that the Christmas party was going to be in. Of course, anyone who knows me knows that this is a little exciting, going to look at Christmas. There is something so wonderful about this time of year. Everything seems sparkly and new. fresh and oh-so-lovely. So come one with me! Let's do a little tree shopping. Apologies for running a little late today!

Who doesn't love to see what they will be selling in some foreign market, shopping in places I have never been to and some, never even heard of. There is always a curiosity attached to foreign ingredients, different produce or any product sold. So, yes! I would love to see yours! Don't forget to take photos wherever you happen to be shopping - whether it be the grocery, art galleries, wherever money is exchanged for a service or for merchandise. Don't forget to use the hashtag #MarketFriday and @dswigle.

So, we need to get a tree or perhaps two and they will be going into the Assisted living community home. Assisted living is very popular here in the States, where elderly adults can live very much independently, but, in case of the need, have different levels of care (or no care. if not needed) Whatever the reason, there are many people that reside in them and surprisingly, they are very happy to live in a community of like minded seniors who spend their days together, doing things that they enjoy. They have changed what it means to be in assisted living.

So, let's wander around and see what we can find.

Oh, the pull of the gold embellished tree just lured me in! my tree is on the eclectic side, but, I do love when it is all done in one shade of beautiful!

Answer: Mt. Everest. It just hadn’t been discovered yet!

I think a lot of the residents there may find this a happy tree with all of the red ribbons and berries hanging off of it. I always put the ribbon on first and then the ornaments. It is so much easier to see how the end product will be. I like to stick the odd piece of greenery in too.

It's true! It is truly enchanting! Who can resist the magic of Christmas? Everything everywhere seems more... Nicer, prettier, people are nicer. So, yes! I find this time of year very enchanting and special.

They certainly pressed the right buttons here. Golden Elegance is what it says to me. Oh, beauty! So soft. So pretty. So Christmassy. Do you think I could just wrap them all up and take them with me? I am truly looking forward to getting to the place and decorating the tree!

This is the one (actually two) that I bought plus some of the beautiful ornaments that looked so good on it. All that glitters is gold who are they kidding? It was a most enjoyable experience, this shopping for a tree that wasn't for me.. and ornaments and, well, you get the idea. It was definately a good day.

Oh, once the decorating bug gets loose, you just want to buy everything in sight. There is something so breathtaking about a tree that has ornaments upon ornaments, but then again, I have seen them with a sparse amount and they are just as arresting to the eyes. Perhaps, I just love ornaments. And trees. And maybe even Christmas.

This is just another beautiful tree. I could have them all over my house. ;)

And, this my friends, is the epitome of what I am looking for in Christmas. Fairy lights and glitter, framed in a little bit of magic. Breathe in the magic. Let's go shopping again next week.
