Inktober - Day #19 "Scorched"

In our hands there is hope, construction, destruction, care and confidence. Our environment depends on us, it is our responsibility to take care of the environment that surrounds us, if we neglect can harm us directly, forests and valleys deserve to be protected, they are the lungs of our world.
7 days I'm late! It's definitely a bit difficult to comply with each drawing every day, but finally I bring you the theme of day 19 " scorched ", a beautiful illustration with which I seek to create a little awareness of what we are doing to our beautiful planet.

Materials:
- Autodesk Skecthbook
- Adobe Photoshop

-Step 1:
Hands have always been my Achilles heel, so I've tried to define its shape as realistically as possible, although I haven't focused so much on the details.

-Step 2:
For the delineating I spent quite a lot of time in front of the mirror, what better reference and model than my own hands, I did a few poses to better capture the position of the fingers.

-Step 3:
As for the coloring, I have taken at first two base tones, the hand and the background, from them take other warmer tones for lighting.

-Step 4:
Because the small burned branch would be the light source, the logical thing was to clarify the areas closest to it, seeking to generate a little volume add some shadows on the edges of the hand, I had my doubts about establishing shadows more doubts, so I continued to use a diffuse brush, now to see the finished illustration I think I should experience a little more, no doubt I will do in the next illustration.
-I'll leave you a little gif with the whole process in it, so you can better observe the step by step.

What is inktober?
The inktober is an initiative created by the illustrator Jake Parker in 2009, in order to improve his artistic skills, although over the years has made a great impact on the international artistic community. The challenge is to make a drawing with ink every day, hence its name, "ink" (ink) "tober" (October), although for the most part this is respected, many other artists prefer to stay in their comfort zone, so you can see illustrations made with watercolors, graphite, charcoal, digital and any existing technique.
