Inktober - Day #17 "Swollen"
It seems that I have a certain fixation on giant animals, if you take a look at my drawings of this Inktober, you will see a flying whale, a giant chicken dragon and now a frog that must surely be the terror of the poor city beneath it.
The subject on this occasion is " swollen ", so I decided to draw this giant frog, because it remembers that they expand their skin a lot (yes, it was not the best interpretation to the subject). This illustration was done with the help of Autodesk Skecthbook and Adobe Photoshop, my two loves to draw digitally.
Materials:
- Autodesk Skecthbook
- Adobe Photoshop
-Step 1:
The starting point was the sketch, in which I shaped the idea, focusing mostly on the frog.
-Step 2:
Then I have defined better the strokes, in order to obtain the lineart, which in this occasion I will preserve until the end of the illustration.
-Step 3:
It's time to go to Photoshop, there I started coloring, as you can see select a few color tones to define the palette I would use for the frog.
-Step 4:
With the tones selected and a diffuse brush, I colored this beautiful frog, using a fairly low opacity I superimposed the colors on top of each other, the intention was not to make them so eye-catching, although in the end I increased the color saturation a little as part of the final retouches.
Maybe later I'll upload another drawing to try to catch up with the challenge, but in the meantime i'll leave you a little gif with the whole process in it, so you can better observe the step by step.

What is inktober?
The inktober is an initiative created by the illustrator Jake Parker in 2009, in order to improve his artistic skills, although over the years has made a great impact on the international artistic community. The challenge is to make a drawing with ink every day, hence its name, "ink" (ink) "tober" (October), although for the most part this is respected, many other artists prefer to stay in their comfort zone, so you can see illustrations made with watercolors, graphite, charcoal, digital and any existing technique.
