Inktober - Day #15 "Weak"
Does anyone care about goblins? I do not think anyone does, unless someone sneaks out and dares to steal your treasures and belongings. These small beings are the plagues of fantasy worlds, all of them just a mockery and unimportant enemies, though I would not wish to face an entire horde of these goblins.
Why do I talk about them? Because as you could see in the title, the subject for today is "weak" according to the 15th of the inktober (yes, I am late), I have decided to draw a scrawny and thieving goblin, who can't even carry the booty he's got, I think he'll be caught very soon.
Materials:
- Autodesk Skecthbook
- Adobe Photoshop
-Step 1:
In Sketchbook I have made the sketch, which has been quite detailed, although this time is what I call "the final sketch" as I often start with drawings of sticks until I get what I want, is a process of scratching and erasing.
-Step 2:
Following the form established in the sketch, I have initiated the lineart, which in this case is the final delineation of the drawing. I also liked very much that crazy frame I used last time, so I applied again a kind of black ink around the character.
-Step 3:
Flat colors are the best option when starting the coloring, so I have denoted with a specific tone each area of the drawing.
-Step 4:
From these base colors, I have continued the coloring adding a few shadows and lights, taking into account that the main source of light is the treasure of the pixie, but I have also given some other shines here and there.
In Photoshop I have increased the saturation of the color, making use of the tools "overexpose" and "underexpose" with them I manage to give a wonderful effect to each drawing.
I'll leave you a little gif with the whole process in it, so you can better observe the step by step.

What is inktober?
The inktober is an initiative created by the illustrator Jake Parker in 2009, in order to improve his artistic skills, although over the years has made a great impact on the international artistic community. The challenge is to make a drawing with ink every day, hence its name, "ink" (ink) "tober" (October), although for the most part this is respected, many other artists prefer to stay in their comfort zone, so you can see illustrations made with watercolors, graphite, charcoal, digital and any existing technique.
