@mariannewest

And I am going to recommend custodian of FreeWriteHouse @mariannewest for her prompt cancer.... only because most of us including me of course would think of the That C Word. But she went somewhere else with it 😊@kaerpediem

@happycrazycon

I would like to recommend @happycrazycon's FreeWrite for the prompt potbellied. It is based on a true story. Sad because it's about loss of a loved one, hope because it's about how the mind copes and love because it's how things fall into place so you can move forward in life. @kaerpediem

@marcoriccardi

Blues by @marcoriccardi caught my attention because I like many varieties of music, and I learned some things by reading what he wrote. ~ @scribblingramma

marcoriccardi-blues.png

This freewrite by @marcoriccardi using the prompt: dog breath. He has the uncanny ability to make me ponder and this one was no exception. If you were able to go to a place where your brain could be conditioned a certain way, would you do it? And what happens when that conditioning goes awry and spreads like a virus? If you want to find out, you must read about it. @whatisnew

@kaerpediem

Was it a Mishap or an Invitation by @kaerpediem is both sad and moving because variations of that story play themselves out every day, everywhere. One mistake, or a series of mistakes, and there are unintended consequences. ~ @scribblingramma

@josephinengpy

I would like to nominate @josephinengpy for having the boldness and courage to write the freewrite prompt - cancer - that might made her cry or tear. Something so close to her life and heart, her mother who lost the fight to cancer, but never lost her race in life. Josephine is my friend and I have seen how she is determined to continue to grow as a person with joy despite losing her mother at young age. My salute goes all to her. Please show her some love as she still misses her mother every single day. ~ @iamjadeline

@elizacheng

@elizacheng speaks of her father's win against cancer. He said at the time of his illness, "Just treat me as a normal person." This is what we all want, I think. ~ @fitnfun

@tezmel

I would like to recommend as my favorite freewrite a very powerful freewrite poem written by the talented the poetess, @tezmel. The poem is written as a letter to her mother country of Africa and speaks out in forceful language regarding grievous injustices foisted upon the country's people by greedy, opportunistic leaders who sje refers to as "potbellied Jones" who are bleeding the people of resources and hope. In spite of feeling both the anger and pain and loss she documents, she leaves the reader with a glimmer of hope for a better future. This poem is so well executed and emotive while conveying an urgent and timely message all will appreciate her eloquence, passion and craft. ~ @wandrnrose7

@milrosas

Today I want to nominate the writer and poet @milrosas. She introduced a very interesting and well developed free text on the theme "Cancer". She has participated actively in the Spanish Freewrite project and has presented very good works, this time is not different because it is not only the way the subject worked, graphically describing the experiences of the sufferer of this disease, but using a beautiful prose that It makes reading pleasant.
Here I leave your link:

@jk6276

@jk6276 is speaking of his aunt and her struggles with two loved ones passing on from this disease. The phrase that resonates with me the most is "my Aunt carried herself with amazing dignity, despite what many would see as cruel twists of fate that life dealt her." ~ @fitnfun

@wordymouth

The poem itself was eerily beautiful. But the way it was presented was just so creative. I loved how there were "extra" words just scattered around the poem, itself. As one of the comments in the post mentioned, it really embodies the idea of a "freewrite". ~ @cryptocopy

@tristancarax

Potbellied by @tristancarax made me laugh, and I was ready for a good chuckle. There is so much that can be read between the lines!

Squash

Reading it got me hungry. I though it was clever how he kept writing about "squashing squash", grilling it with herbs and turning it into something delicious. It reminded me about the squash fritters I love so much. Sure, it's not the same thing, but what he wrote about sounded delicious, just the same. ~ @cryptocopy

Cancer

@tristancarax speaks from the heart with strong words. This part is why my name is fitinfun: "Don't miss out on life. Fun can be found in the diseased world."

Some of our "Repeat Offenders" ;) Have been Nominated yet again:

@kimberlylane

@kimberlylane has a gift of describing things in detail which makes you feel as if you were right there with her. I could see, feel, smell, which in this case wasn't very pleasant but it sure was a great read, gripping me from the beginning to end. If you want to know in great detail of what she found inside and old house, be sure to read Whose House Doesn't Stink? ~ @whatisnew

@marie-jay

I was searching #freewrite and ran across this beauty On The Road by @marie-jay hidden amongst the 3 part weekend #freewrites. This is a great story about a young child saved from an abusive relationship. It's a must read, because I know this probably goes on daily. The ending leaves me wondering what could have happened... ~ @wonderwop

@byn

Hide and Seek by @byn is gripping and scary. I got sucked right into that short story, and could smell and hear everything she described. I can't say that was a pleasant experience, but it means it was well-written! ~ @scribblingramma
