Farmpunk Fiction Writing Tip, Deadline Approaching
Four hours and seven days ago (or something real close to that) I brought forth upon this blockchain a brand new farmpunk fiction contest, conceived in innovation and creativity, and dedicated to the proposition that fiction should be fun to read.
Now we are engaged in a great race to the finish. Seven more days hence and the deadline will be nigh.

Several readers have shared that they are preparing their manuscripts in hopes of winning the coveted two shares of Steem Basic Income (SBI). One such hopeful winner has published a first draft requesting feedback. I love to see this level of commitment and am anxious to see all the entries. With such eager participants, farmpunk is a genre with real prospects for lasting forever (or at least for another four hours and seven days).
Since we are now mid-stream, and pert near mid-river, I thought I'd offer up one last farmpunk fiction writing tip as I've heard some expressions of self-doubt and a few murmurings of unconfidence in the peanut gallery. Here it is, Farmpunk Fiction Writing Tip #1.
Farmpunk Fiction Writing Tip #1
Till the soil of your mind, cultivate it with the manure of your imagination, water it with the flowing nouns of verbs of your pen, and harvest your crop bountifully and in due season.
Let not the weather or the changing conditions of things you cannot control dictate the outcome. Commit your #story to life and submit it before the deadline. If you don't enter, you can't win.
Join us in the Speculative Fiction Writers of Steemit Discord group.
Remember, the deadline is one week from today - Monday, October 15, 2018, midnight EST.
Theme: Pumpkin harvesting
Since the original post is now past payout and you wish to enter, if you have not resteemed and upvoted the original post, then resteem and upvote this post. Then, follow these rules to enter:
- Write a farmpunk story between 750 and 3,000 words.
- Post your story on your own Steemit blog.
- Give your story the #farmpunk tag. It doesn't have to be the primary tag.
- Link to your story in the comments of the original contest post.
Good luck to all contestants. I'll read and judge the entries after they've all come in and announce the winner some time during the week following the deadline.

I wanted to do this but many life is busy right now. So I will see how the next few days go for me thanks again though I like the idea.
I understand. Drop one in when you can.
Good luck to all, I will skip this one..as fiction writing is really not my thing
I do plan to publish this week but not entirely sure it possesses the noirish elements you desire. Plus I had to weave in a reference to pumpkins whilst it's not entirely ABOUT a pumpkin harvest... and it's set in Australia...

Cool! I'd love to see a pumpkin story set in Australia. Sounds creative. It doesn't have to be noirish, but if it's got a hint of punkish in it, it will be rad. Can't wait to read it.
@blockcurator This is very interesting, but, as there's always a but, I have no idea about fiction writing! Although I have may real life stories about farming, maybe I should "till the soil of my mind" (Did you write this poem?) and prepare it for future efforts. Thank you for your kind support to our charity page! Blessings!
You're very welcome. If you do decide to write a little fiction, I hope it's farmpunk. At least read the stories and upvote them. We need good audiences too.
It is an aweosme fiction contest. I am not a good writer else i would have been part of it.

Hey. I'm planning to participate in this edition of the contest (finally!), and I even have my entry completed already (still not posted) but while I already upvoted this post and the option to resteem appears in other post, I can't resteem this one... what can I do to still participate?
Resteem this one and I'll let you enter. https://steemit.com/steemit/@blockurator/let-s-have-a-minnow-celebration-party-7594ff5d092e4est
