The Industrial revolution was a process of change from an agrarian, handicraft economy to the one dominated by industry and machinery. The Industrial Revolution started a new era in the history of mankind. It began in England between 1770 1825 and from there spread to the other parts of the world. The term Industrial Revolution Was first popularised by the English historian Arnold Toynbee. Unlike other political revolutions, it was revolution without war and bloodshed. There was transformation in the method of production from man-made to machine - made. The introduction of machines brought about a great change in trade industry. The Industrial Revolution established the basis for our economic, social and in many respcts, our political institutions. We cannot imagine now life without machinery and capitalism. The complex nature of our society, Our economic inter dependence with each other are the products of the industrial Revolution.
