Feils catus has had a very long relationship with humans. Ancient Egyptians may have first domesticated cats early as 4,000 years ago. Eagerly Egyptian worshipped a cat goddess and even mummified their beloved pets for their journey to the next world-accompained by mummified mice! Cats communicate by marking tress, fence post, or furniture with their claws of their waste. The scent post are meant to inform others of a cats home range.
