Did you know #62|Greek and Roman Empire
Greece and Italy, the two European countries, Were the centres of great civilisations in the ancient times. They were the first to lay foundation for the European civilisation. The modern western civilisation owes much to ancient Greeks and Romans.
Greeks were highly imaginative and therefore they created beautiful pieces of art of various kinds; produced all forms of literature, and propagated philosophical doctrine, both spiritual and material, which became the heritage of mankind.
Romans acquired this heritage from the Greeks, passed it on to the medieval world, which in turn, transmitted it to the modern world. Romans were the first to give to the world the concept of one world, the art of governing different people in different provinces, law and military organisation.
The experiments made by Greeks and Romans in different fields is indeed unique. Therefore, the study of such people is naturally interesting and instructive.
