SECOND LOWEST USER DEPOSIT RATIO SINCE LAST AUGUST AT 3.32 to 1! This is a big deal and fits a pet theory I've had for the last 9+ months. More in the comments section below.

USD values are calculated per day via API feeds from Poloniex (for STEEM and SBD values in BTC) and Coindesk (for USD value of BTC). For the top 50 reports in USD terms, I take the average USD value for STEEM and SBD for the week using the daily average which came out to:

• STEEM: $0.77113
• SBD: $1.67380

Assumptions

What it does not show is people powering up, powering down, or if they are buying or selling on an exchange. It's just some interesting data dealing with transfers to and from exchange accounts.

Commentary

• Since I started this report over 9 months ago, I've had a theory that when the ratio of user accounts withdrawing money compared to those depositing money decreases, we'll see a major rise in the price of STEEM. This past week, we had the largest rise in STEEM price in the last 9 months and the withdrawal to deposit ratio was also the lowest by far at 3.32 to 1. If this ratio ever goes below 1 to 1, we could see a massive rise in the price of STEEM. Even with more than 3 times the number of accounts withdrawing money than depositing money, the price still went way up.

• I'm putting a second bullet point here so you can pause for a moment and really think about the first bullet point. How amazing is that!?!

• The STEEM price was roaring this week! The average landed at $0.77113, but we saw much higher prices than that. If you weren't stupid like me and got your STEEM to an exchange, you had a good opportunity to sell high and buy back lower.

• We've got some new whales including @skan who joined a little over two weeks ago and has been powering up a ton ever since. @cljg918 signed up four days ago and went right to work dropping almost $40k.

• $2.6M went out to exchanges this week. That's a lot of money.

• The powerdown amounts for next week are again in the green, but just barely at 9.05%. That's much lower than the 20-30% ranges we've been seeing the last few weeks. That could indicate a continued downward pressure on the price.
