Introducing The Little League of True Steemians - free delegations up to 500 SP
One of the great benefits of doing the Alternative Lifestyle Show on MSP Waves Radio is being to able to interview some really great people on the steem platform.
Some of these people have truly inspired me.
One of those people is White Walking Feather @wwf who I had the good fortune to talk with for a second time on last Friday's show. He was on the show with some of his Stewards of Terra Mater (@borrowedearth, @carey-page, @earthmother, @mistermercury, @realtreebivvy and @skycae) who he supports with delegations and mentoring to help them progress on the platform.
We discussed during the show, and in subsequent private chat, the great benefits of delegating steempower and more generally the power of giving in steem.
White Walking Feather @wwf was originally inspired to 'pay it forward' after being the recipient of a large delegation from @fulltimegeek. He has managed to maintain his onward delegations even though @fulltimegeek no longer delegates to him.
This reminded me of @goldendawne who has likewise managed to continue her delegations to @beatitudes8, @freedompoint, @karenfoster and @walkerland even though @fulltimegeek has now taken back his delegation to her.
Talking with and observing the clear benefits of the delegations that @wwf and @goldendawne make has convinced me this is a good thing to do.
I have therefore decided to set up my own delegation scheme.
The benefits of steem are very much enhanced once you reach 500 SP and get 'the slider' to allow multiple sub 100% votes. I am therefore going to select a small number of people to delegate enough steempower to to take them above the magic 500 SP.
I currently have around 8,600 SP, and despite the current price fall, I am still actively buying more steem to power up to my mid-year target of 10,000 SP.
To allow me to continue to support those people I already support I want to maintain at least 5,000 SP and ideally a minimum $1 upvote. Beyond that I am looking toward delegating to probably half a dozen people in the first instance.
I am not planning to focus on any particular sector or country, more I am looking to support people who appear committed to the potential of steem for doing good and who share similar principles to me.
Alongside the delegation of steempower I hope to assist the people selected with mentoring and guidance to develop their presence on the steem blockchain.
The Little League of True Steemians
With a certain amount of tongue in cheek, my working title for the merry band I hope to bring together is The Little League of True Steemians.
I already have a couple of people in mind that I hope will come on board but I am on the look-out for more.
The sort of people am I looking for will be doing at least one of these :
actively working to promote steem and recruiting others to the platform
producing quality content that has some lasting value
engaging in projects on the wider steem blockchain
They will also be :
spreading their votes around to other hard working and productive steemians
using properly sourced and credited copyright free images in their posts
writing primarily in English, or possibly Spanish
regularly posting content, at least 4 times a week
actively engaging with people who comment on their posts
powering up at least a portion of their SBD post-rewards
using Discord and actively engaging in communities.
And as a guide there are a few things I don't do :
I don't self-vote
I don't use bid-bots
I don't use DMania
I don't power-down
And I am not a fan of animated gifs or memes in posts!
Anyone is welcome to argue their case to me on any of these.
So if you think you might fit the bill and can match these criteria, pop a comment below with a recent post that you are proud of and I will make contact with you.
Remember, my delegation will be to bring you up to 500 SP so you need to be somewhat below that level currently.
I will reserve the right to withdraw the delegation at any time either if I need it back or if the recipient is no longer following the principles of The Little League of True Steemians.
Finally if anyone has steem they want to sell I am actively buying.

It's very much on the same page as yours and @wwf's, and in fact, my route has been very similar to his with regards to @fulltimegeek's delegation and then continuing this with delegations of my own.
I have around the same SP as you, and also have a 10k target for the coming months. And I'm lucky in that I have a cheap 4k delegation from an orca who appreciates this kind of work and so this is what I lease, for free, in return for good work - similar to your list above.
I'd be happy to pull some reports on whoever you choose to delegate too so you can ensure they are using the SP and engaging as you see fit - we could even add them to my weekly stats and you can check on them there?

Would you consider delegations to someone who has used bid-bots in the past but would not use them during the delegation? If so I would like to be considered. I am working with a small community called the @ifc or #informationfinding championship, we are trying to build a community of people who want to see steemit and the blockchain as a whole expand to new horizons! i am helping the founder in his vision and would love for this delegation to be able to be used on all the up and coming people who wish to join in on the fun here on steemit. I also have been working with the #newbieresteemday group and would love to be able to vote more accordingly with them but at this time my vote is small and I do with it what I can. I do not self vote. although this week I ran a contest and did use one of my votes. Cool incentive. I won't say I am too active in promoting steemit but I do teach some newbies how steemit works. The only pormting i guess i did for steem was trying to get a moment to people to vote steem into another exchange and incentives to do it by giving them 2 cent upvotes:

I saw this post @pennsif and was quite floored. The inspiration from that contest that abh12345 that I have benefited from is great, being compared to my fellow peers statistically weekly is very humbling and really holds you to account in continuing your day to development of yourself and the peers you interact with daily. Here is a link of a post I am proud of that explains the fortune I have had in being helped by others and returning that favor in an ongoing basis. I wish to submit my name into the entry just in the respect that I am pushing to acquire 500sp through leasing delegations, or wherever the steempower comes from because I have a goal of personally commenting, and upvoting as many people I can that are new to the platform, my friends, and especially the group of people I am working with in aiding their growth by having a curation trail based from steemauto that all upvotes on another of 25 people and is growing quickly in number and expertise on the platform I happy to report to you (much more on that when you read the post link)! In doing this I am building a great base of relationships daily, helping all of these people on steemit, especially those on the curation trail to work to their utmost efficiency and helping them find their niche on the platform as well as many communities of aid and support. I submitted my own name of course, but I would also like to submit any one of the people mentioned at the top of my linked post, they are all great people and are wonderful selections, just as good if not better than myself. One note of full disclosure, I do upvote my posts, that is it. I do those because of those of my friends do not vote my posts and they are on the curation trail that I am running, so if I don't vote none of them do either. Also, I do this in the effort to build myself up in the hopes of course in leasing more steempower so that my vote goes further in developing everyone I can reach on here. I post an average of once daily, mainly once daily (with the exception at times on weekends as I visit with a lot of people on the platform and catch up with people on discord). I was pleased to see myself being mentioned being among the top 201 commenters on all of steemit a few weeks back(@abh12345 was kind enough to extend the field one more spot to include yours truly, lol). I hope this comment doesn't sound a lot like bragging because I will be the first to tell you I have traveled the Thomas Edison route on steemit, I am still in the process of finding the 10,000th way to succeed and I certainly am not there yet. Thanks to some friends @lynncoyle1 @davemccoy and so many others closely tied to them I was able to find your helpie discord group, and steemit group and have yet to even step forward in engaging that community, offering what I can to the "pot" so to speak and help this community grow organically, because we all are certainly reading the handwriting on the wall the bots, falling steem prices and other automated wonders aren't going to do it alone there needs to be people that grow the existing community and the new entries to the community as well. This is a magnificent effort you are putting forward, hopefully I can get some lease delegations through on minnowbooster so that I can kick into it as well!

Hey @pennsif! This is great what you are doing! Asher @abh12345 told me I should check out what you are doing and I think its great to support young steemians in this way... I will definitely help you find some good candidates and this should be a something that drives many think about he community in their quest to earn your support!

While I could use the SP, I do think that other would use it better. I, myself, am not the best author in the world, am I more like a great commentor 😁. Spending too much time to Steemit! @crypto-econom1st and @lynncoyle1 both would be excellent choices, in my opinion.
