Not Crossing Over to Mexico, but Close - My California Contest Entry
This is the border crossing between San Diego California and Tijuana Mexico. I'm on a pedestrian overpass on the San Diego side walking back from shopping.
All these cars are coming back to the US.
It's kind of a creepy place and security is all around.
They are watching you here.
You are supposed to keep walking and not loiter. The trolley and buses are on the US side, and that is where I am going
I did not know if my photos would be a problem.
Here is the exit for vehicles going to Mexico.
It's kind of pretty and I would have stayed longer for more photos but guys with guns were coming up behind me.

You captured some great photo's using this crossing Sharon, the road back into America looks to be extremely busy.
Surprised they allow photography with all the laws already imposed on notice boards. Oh well, laws are made to be broken sometimes....
I thought it was strange not to see a "no photo" sign. But I put the camera away when the big guards showed up. I think they are supposed to make you feel safe, but they don't!
I think it is one of the busiest crossings to the us.
Have heard foot traffic and road traffic are excessively busy at this border post, never feel comfortable when going through places like this.
Yes, if you are near the trolley at rush hour, you can watch huge numbers of people crossing. They come in to work from Mexico in the morning and go back at night. They have only one place to walk over at and it is packed!
These last months of my time in California was the only time i was down there and I was always feeling nervous when close to the border.

Thank you! I do not really follow news, so I do not know anything about wall plans. There is already a wall in this area and has been for years. But if you are not Mexican you get right in by claiming asylum anyway. Hundreds a day do this from all countries aside from Mexico. So the whole thing is a farce.

People think it is haunted due to so many deaths for hundreds of years. I felt creepy the whole time I lived there, lol.
