Freewrite Day 600 - 600 bottles of beer on the wall
I did know of a place that had 600 bottles of beer on the wall, and probably more than that. It was a place I hung out sometimes when I was a teenager. The people there drank one type of beer only, and they drank it a lot. It was in a blue bottle with a shiny label.
The place they lived in was an old Victorian mansion cut up into apartments. Their living room was huge and had two rows of shelving running below the very high ceiling. So they started putting their empty bottles there.
It took at least a year to fill up those shelves. They tried to make it look nice no matter how many bottles were there. The man of the house had a good eye for symmetry and moved bottles often as the shelves filled up. It was a very interesting project to watch.
Then one day, the shelves were full and not one more bottle could go there. So next the bottles went into the bay window, the fireplace mantle, in the fireplace, and some floor areas that did not get walked on. Finally there was no place left that could hold another bottle.
After dark they had some low lighting that the shiny labels would catch. It was really pretty and peaceful on your eyes. Sometimes I slept on one of the couches in that room, and the blue glow was easy to sleep with.

I believe the glow is peaceful.
