I can't get enough of the awesome content that SMG group is pumping out right now. So I feel inclined to do another roundup before I pass the torch...

First, I want to thank the SMG group from the bottom of my heart for giving me the opportunity to do some focused curating of and for the group with their super-boost. Many of my favorite authors also thank you ;)

Now I personally spend time on each thing I curate. But I know it's a lot for visitors and I'm sure you rather know what I'm up to (because you follow me) — besides the fact that I'm reading Steemit posts...

I promise to post more of my own stuff soon.

So, I just heard a great Daudio file I have to share. It was the best podcast episode I've listened to this year and it's only about 30 minutes long. What this begins to speak on is the neurological and psychological science behind self-sabotage, luck, and a host of other (seemingly out of control) life conditions. The podcast episode is really a foreward, but once you listen you'll be tuning in to the next one for sure.

What I've Learned

1. I volunteered to post every day as part of my proposal. I was not able to sustain that. And I realized it's incredibly hard to think of something to post about every day. I'm still not sure what to post about next. Lol.

2. Having more voting power made me actually give more than I would have with less power. I didn't expect that of myself because I'm fairly selfish, hahaha. Turns out, I'm a nicer person than I gave myself credit for.

3. I've learned more about each person in the group and what their individual content niches and tastes are. That has made me feel closer to them as people. And while they may not share the same sentiment toward me or viewed my content yet— I know a few have and that feels great.

4. I've learned more about the platform and other authors outside the group. On the hunt for content, I ventured into tags and categories I'd probably not go into if it were not for the extra magik in my wand. =)

5. I've learned to put more effort into what I write— at least trying, sort of. Okay, not really. But it's a far cry from my first post. Half the time I might spell check. It's a work in progress. ;)

What's Ahead

Although I'll still be curating until the ticker runs out, I'll be giving some hard thought to what content I want to be consistent about here on this account. I like writing and my original intention was to learn about blogging and just learn to write better in general. And I like it here.

I've set up a few side projects (soon to be announced) involving the blockchain but they're minor. While I still want to deliver some of my music here, how and when, and via what methods are still questions I'm contemplating answers to. I have to say, I feel a bit more involved — and I have to think about where that places me both on the food chain here and how Steemit could fit into my actual world (because I definitely can't be online all day every day.) Blog/Life balance?
