Hibiscus & Dragonfruit Tart - Tree House Brewing Company

Beer Review

Hibiscus & Dragonfruit Tart is a 4.3% Sour Ale brewed by the Tree House Brewing Company in Monson, Massachusetts. I have tried many different beers from Tree House and they are always top notch. Tree House is a small batch craft brewer specializing in fine New England style IPAs. They do produce stouts, porters and a variety of other styles of beers, but the juice bombs like their Julius, Green, and Haze are what made Tree House become the legend that it is today. Unfortunately you can't find Tree House beers at your local liquor store, you need to travel to the brewery itself and wait in a long line in order to score any of this liquid gold. But it sure is worth it! Hibiscus & Dragonfruit Tart is a fruity and refreshing Sour Ale. The pleasant tartness makes it perfect for a hot summer day.

The Can

Hibiscus & Dragonfruit Tart is served in a pint can. It features a yellow label with two beautiful pink hibiscus flowers on the front. The back of the label says the following:

Tart is a series of beers by Tree House brewed to carry fresh fruit flabors and pleasing mouthwatering tartness. A teeny amount of funk and vibrant carbonation played beautifully with restrained acidity, hibiscus tea, and fresh pressed dragonfruit. This is a low alcohol beer best enjoyed cold and straight from the can. Enjoy!.

The Beer

Despite the warning that it's best enjoyed straight from the can, I went ahead and poured my Hibiscus & Dragonfruit Tart into a glass. I wanted to see what kind of color this delicious Sour Ale was sporting. As you can see, it was a nice clear red color with a pink hue. A bit of foam formed at the top letting me know it had some nice carbonation. The flavor was fruity and refreshing. Very easy to drink with the low alcohol content. A nice tartness left your palate wanting more. Overall it's a really good beer to enjoy on a summer day. I look forward to trying more beers from Tree House Brewing Company in the future.

You are so lucky to get fresh tree house beers so regularly.

Does refreshing sour means it is more for a hot summer day instead of a soda?

Happy Monday 👍💕
