Beer Review

AAAlterrr Ego! is a 6.8% American IPA brewed by the Tree House Brewing Company in Monson, Massachusetts. I have tried many different beers from Tree House and they are always top notch. Tree House is a small batch craft brewer specializing in fine New England style IPAs. They do produce stouts, porters and a variety of other styles of beers, but the juice bombs like their Julius, Green, and Haze are what made Tree House become the legend that it is today. Unfortunately you can't find Tree House beers at your local liquor store, you need to travel to the brewery itself and wait in a long line in order to score any of this liquid gold. But it sure is worth it! AAAlterrr Ego! is a rendition of Tree House Brewing Company's Alter Ego which uses additional kettle and dry hops. It's essentially an Altered Alter Ego...

The Can

The AAAlterrr Ego! is served in a full pint can. The color scheme reminded me of Halloween. It features the typical Tree House Brewing Company logo on a dark colored label and the writing is in orange. When you see a can with a Tree House on it, you know there's going to be good beer inside.

The Beer

I tried some of the AAAlterrr Ego! during a beer share at @kirm-it's last week. It pours a glowing orange with a very thin bubbly head. It looks like a crisp beer when it's sitting in a glass. The aroma was juicy with citrus and tropical fruit. The taste is complex with layers of mango and pineapple. It was super fruity and crushable, but you'll want to drink it slow and savor every sip. It was an absolutely delicious rendition of the Alter Ego. I look forward to trying more beers from Tree House Brewing Company in the future.
