It's time to continue my photo series taken at the Astra Museum situated in Sibiu, Romania.

While doing this series I've often thought about how life must have been during those periods and to be totally hones, I appreciate that I'm living now and have all the comfort of the 21st century.

Looking at this tiny house, I'm trying to imagine myself living in one with other family members. It must have been hard to share such a small place. On the other hand if you grew up like that, you don't know how it is to have your own rood and your own space.

A tiny little house covered with straw, with a very small window. The fence is made of wood and covered with straw.This would protect the property from animals, the garden as well.

Two wine presses, which can still be seen at the countryside, presses like these are still in use today.

Grapes were very common, there was no household without grapes. People used to make wine and still do. It was very common, I'd say there was no household without grapes and wine.

This is another press, unfortunately I can't figure out what was this used for.

They used to make oil as well, mostly form sunflower, that was very common. This press is for sunflower seeds.

A house covered with shingle, built uphill, could have two rooms max and the usual vine in front of the house. Under the house there was always a cellar, served to store food during winter.

This is how the interior of a kitchen usually looked like. A stove where the wife cooked, the furnace where the bread was baked. The plates were stored on those wooden shelved. In the back you can see a wine jug, and a wooden recipient in which the butter was made.

The shelf is authentic, the plates are not so old though :)

This is my favorite shot so far. @melinda010100 do you see those plates? There are two flasks handing along with two sieves which was used to sift flour.

The interior of the room, as you can see, no luxury here, just the very basics, everything handmade, a candle and a petroleum lamp.

The other part of the room. All you see here is handmade, the furniture, the fabrics, everything. I love those little jugs hanged over the bench.
