Let's Go Back In Time - Part 5
This is the 5th part of my photo series taken at the Astra Museum situated in Sibiu, Romania. If you've missed the previous parts, you can check them out here:
Let's Go Back In Time - Part 1.

Let's Go Back In Time - Part 3
Let's Go Back In Time - Part 4
This is a photo that I can't ever forget. It's a small house built of stones and wood. I love the texture and the color. Those small windows made of wood makes the house more precious. The door is made of weed as well.
Here you can see the whole house, covered with straw, the cutest house, don't you think?
This is a water mill, which was very common during those days.
A close-up photograph of the water turbines. There are six in total, I guess it's been a powerful mill. Those mill stones must have been heavy.
A manually operated ferry for transporting people, animals and goods from one side of the river or lake to the other.
This is all for today, stay tuned for the next part.

Oh, I love that little house! That is something from a fairy tale! I also think the water mill is very cool :) U+R
You are right, these houses are from fairy tale land 🙂. Thank you so much Keith, for your support! It's much appreciated!
Love the pics . I’ve a friend from Romania and she was showing me pictures of her home town and they are beautiful . It has such a bad name in the West .

I'm glad you like them, I'm continuing my series because these are establishments and houses you don't see every day.
Yes, indeed, my country has a very bad reputation, unfortunately.

Howdy there erikah! This is such an interesting post and I've never seen a museum outside like this where all the old buildings are still there, how old are these things anyway? And the many ways that they utilized the water power is amazing! Very cool post and educational too!
Good evening @janton! I'm happy to hear you like these cute houses. These are from the 19th century, but this is just a guess. Unfortunately the museum is huge, you need the whole day in order to document everything properly.
Stay tuned, there's more to come :)
howdy again erikah! Oh so that means you saw the whole museum? Is this a little town in the country that time forgot?
I saw the whole museum. This is basically a park, a huge reservation, 237 acres. These houses were brought here and restored to their original condition.
There is a link to their official website, you can read more about it, it has a page in English.
oh very good erikah, thanks for the tremendous explanation!
My pleasure, have a nice evening!
