Let's Go Back In Time - Part 4
This is the 4th part of my photo series taken at the Astra Museum situated in Sibiu, Romania. If you've missed the previous parts, you can check them out here:
Let's Go Back In Time - Part 1.
Let's Go Back In Time - Part 2
Let's Go Back In Time - Part 3
These houses I was showing you in my previous posts, were situated in mountain areas, thus wood was available and was the main building material. Many houses and establishments were build using wood.
This is a woodworking machine operated by water power, which was free and also efficient.
Here you can see the wheel.
Another piece of this woodworking machine, made of wood. This was all handmade by people with minimal education or in some cases, with no education at all. We're not talking about engineers with university degree, these were simple people.
Now try to compare this piece with modern technology.
I don't know about you but walking through this museum, watching all these old houses and equipment made me think about what we have today and made me appreciate things more.
Try to imagine your life living in a house like I've been showing you in these posts, without electricity, tap water, household equipment etc.
Stay tuned for the next part.

Thank you Greg, greetings :)
You are welcome :)
it seems that people are forgetting how hard it was back then and the progress made. I think they need to visit museums like that cause nowadays they want more and more becoming extremely greedy!
This museum gives you a picture about what life was back then. Thanks for stopping bye.
