The Interview Showcase #30 - Exclusive Talk With A Nigerian User

It's The Interview Showcase!!!. with your host ubongudofot...This is the 30th Edition of “The interview Showcase...." and of course the last one for 2022 editions!

A lifestyle program that comes with many educational values. A weekly interview of top users/users in the blog concerning some trending topics on the Steemit platform. And tips that can help other Steemians to progress positively and help boost the Steem’s growth.

It will help you to get to know more about Steemians around the globe and even Steemit itself.

I take time to look at some of the most important topics in the blockchain and have a chat/call with top Steemians who have a greater idea about those topics.

They also share some tips that are able to help other users to understand the blockchain and make use of it in the correct way. Sometimes they seek some valuable suggestions here which can help them solve some of their challenges.

This week I put a call across to a Nigerian User who has shown her consistency in the blog and in her little effort shows her creativity. Being her first time joining community curators, she has experience with what is involved in curation, perhaps this will help her understand what the big stakes face while curating posts in various communities/ countries.

Just last week she launched her weekly publication called "Movie highlight". What are we expecting from that weekly publication, how did she come up with it?... Join me as I get to know @ruthjoe from Nigeria.

: Hello Ruthjoe it's nice to have you in my Interview Showcase, how will you describe yourself?

🔶Ruthjoe: Thank you so much for having me here, it's such a privilege for me. My name is Ruth Joe. Am from the eastern part of Nigeria. I grew up in the northern part of Nigeria but now I live in the western part of Nigeria. I am a lady who loves God and his works.

: How long have you been on the steemit blog? And how will you describe your experience on steemit since you joined?

🔶Ruthjoe: I have been on steemit for 1 year and 10 months. My experience thus far has been amazing even though I have had my own share of the times I almost gave up but here I am today.

: Does blogging has anything to do with your profession in real life?

🔶Ruthjoe: No blogging has nothing to do with my profession. It's a hobby for me.

: How have you Contributed to steam's growth in your country as a Nigerian?

🔶Ruthjoe: I have contributed to steam's growth in my country through several means like roadshow promotion and recruitment, the printing of steem shirts and banners/fliers, steem adverts on WhatsApp using my status. I often check on those steemians who have become inactive.

: Recently, I saw you introducing a very interesting publication which would run every week, I guess all about movies, can you tell us about it?

🔶Ruthjoe: Yes the publication I introduced it's about movies which is titled " movie highlight" it's a weekly publication where highlights of interesting movies will be done. It's a means of fun, interaction, and communication. Since steemit is a social media I think this will help to relax us.

: why do you think this publication will be interesting in the blog?

🔶Ruthjoe: Yes I think it will be interesting. Like I said earlier steemit is a social media and I have noticed that most publication done are mostly too serious, the fun aspect is not there. So this is an avenue for steemians to have fun and exchange ideas about movies. .

: Who inspired you to come up with this niche/ idea?

🔶Ruthjoe:Mr @ubongudofot inspired me on this. I want to say thank you for believing in me.

: Do you think Nigerians are producing enough quality publications/ engagements in the blog?**

🔶Ruthjoe: Nigerians are doing well at least for this month of December I curate posts on my days, and I found out that they are doing well but I know more work needs to be done.

: Are you a student? If not, Is it okay to tell us what you do in real life...?

🔶Ruthjoe: Am not a student, I work as a personal secretary and an administrator.

: Who is your favorite artist?

🔶Ruthjoe: My favorite artist is Nathaniel Bassey!

: Where is one place you'd like to travel if you have opportunity and why?

🔶Ruthjoe: If I have the opportunity, I would want to travel to Dubai, I have heard so much about it and would like to see and witness it myself. I heard it's so beautiful, and it's captivating to know that Dubai was once a desert. .

: What do you like doing in your leisure?

🔶Ruthjoe: I love seeing movies, reading, and gisting.

: How will you describe your experience as a Community curator?

🔶Ruthjoe: First of all it will interest you to know that I applied four times before I was picked, so being a community Curator is an office I cherish and I do my job with passion. My experience so far has been good. The first week for me wasn't as strange as I thought it would be. It gave me an opportunity to explore the various communities on steemit. I can Imagine what big curators passed through in curating. They are really trying, it’s not an easy Job. They deserve respect.

: Whose blog /blogs do you enjoy reading?

🔶Ruthjoe: I enjoy reading a lot of steemians blogs but let me mention just a few @lhorgic I follow his graphic class and love reading his diaries. Mr @ubongudofot I love reading his interview showcase.

: Which user will you like me to interview in my show and why?

🔶Ruthjoe: Oh I would really love you to help me find the brain/brains behind SCO1 and have an interview. Hahaha
Secondly, I also suggest the user named @ okere-blessing she is hardworking and I believe he has the interest if steem at heart.

: Maybe knowing about other pioneering curators, real active content creators, and community leadership around the globe is more important than knowing who is behind the SC01 and SC02!

: What's your kind of music, can you sing it or play it?

🔶Ruthjoe: I love gospel music. Worship songs and praise songs. Yes, I can sing.

: What would you advise Nigerian users.., and what are your last words for all other users who are striving to make good progress?

🔶Ruthjoe: My advice to Nigerian users is for them to remain consistent, resilient, and patience, and not to stop believing in steem. Working hard and smart will always pay off. .

: Do you have any suggestions for the steemit team?

🔶Ruthjoe: I would like to appreciate the steemit team especially SC01 for working tirelessly around the platform supporting users with upvotes. My experience working as one of the community curators for December has taught me that the job at SC01 is not an easy one. Sometimes, I don't sleep, I have to stay awake to curate on my curation day, so I wonder what they go through. I must say thank you to them. In fact, I feel like taking them out just to cool off.

: Responding to this your reply 👉" I feel like taking them out just to cool off" .... I would say ..Maybe you can use the fund you would have used to take them out to support the solarsteem in Nigeria, they may likely appreciate that the more.

Steemit is cool so far but I noticed sometimes when am typing in my blog and I mistakenly delete a sentence or phrase, there is no undo button to get it back, maybe I can't remember what was deleted, it means it is gone forever. So if an adjustment is done, it will be good.

: And what if I tell you that since you joined this blog....everything you have deleted are still intact, It can be traced and not gone....?

: What can you say about the Interview Showcase, do you think it is interesting and should be continued?

🔶Ruthjoe: Interview showcase is one unique initiative I know. It takes only a great mind to come up with this. It's interesting to note how many users have been interviewed since it started, that alone is interesting. And yes it should be continued.
