Jupiler League Week 28 Saturday Previews
Limited betting action yesterday and I ended with a small loss which puts me back around break-even for the week. 4 more game to have a go at today...
Waasland vs Anderlecht
So Waasland is in a really bad streak taking 5 losses in a row dropping back to last place and when watching their matches you wonder how they are ever going to be able to win a match. Their coach was sacked with 3 matches to go in a desperation move and they are facing Anderlecht who for the first time this season had a blow-out 6-1 win last week. Waasland assigned Dirk Geeraerd as their new coach who is known to not shy risks at the end of a match when needed. Most times with teams in the bottom region who get a new coach, the defense is the first priority. I got in very early last week on the Over 2.5 @ 1.88 and Over 3 @ 2.39 in anticipation of a possible collapse scenario. I'm not sure if I would take it right now with the coach change situation. Anderlecht has to win this one while Waasland would probably sign for a draw. The last 6 matches of Zulte-Waregem ended in 10 corners or more while Anderlecht had 2 of their last 6 go under 9. Pretty much everyone will bet Anderlecht in this match based on the matches last week. I remain quite cautious. I do look forward to this one and will keep my eye open to possibly add on the over.
Eupen vs Moeskroen
This is a match between 2 playoff 2 teams that have nothing left to play for even though Eupen is not safe yet mathematically. These kinds of matches usually end up as extremely boring low scoring matches or wild open offensive matches with plenty of goals. The Over 2.25 odds suggest the first. This one might turn out with some interesting betting opportunities live but I won't be getting involved right now. New Eupen Striker Prevljak is a player to watch, I do kind of like the odds one Over 3.5 @ 3.85+ and will keep my eyes open for that.No Pre-Game bets
Zulte-Waregem vs Kortrijk
This is a real derby and Kortrijk has been the black horse for Zulte-Waregem the last couple years as they won the last 6 encounters. The home team is in a bad flow especially defensively and are out of the race for Playoff 1 while Kortrijk who also has nothing really to play for is in a better flow. Given the defensive instability and the bad record against Kortrijk, I go in early this week on Kortrijk +0.25 @ 2.00. I'm also liking Kortrijk to score 2 or more and will see live if I can take some more on that.
Antwerp vs Oostende
Antwerp is scoring considerably less as of late and failed to win in their last 4 matches. Oostende took the draw last week and are in need of points to be safe in the relegation battle. I pretty much need to see more in-game of Antwerp in this match before getting in. Oostende lost 10 consecutive away matches so very low hope for them against one of the better home teams in the league. Antwerp despite being 3rd in the home standings failed to cover their asian closing lines. No Pre-Game Bets
