This week's spotlight shines on a first-time Quester: @heatherthebard. Here, she shares an original song, along with the story behind it, and she performs her creation on a hand-made flute. To me, the sound is soul-stirring. The beauty in it is familiar to me, with its Celtic flavor, and yet it is something fresh and new. I feel humbled and honored to welcome @heatherthebard to the Quest, as it feels like a real blessing to witness her Creative Fire in this way.

💎 The Showcase

The SVQ showcase is presented in the order of Flow, meaning it is as is. Here, we celebrate the Visions we've received this week, taking another look at the wealth of wisdom that exists in our collective subconscious, allowing the Artwork to radiate, ripple, and echo. Truly, this type of visioning exercise is capable of expanding the consciousness of all the world, because when we imagine the world we wish to live in, we actually think, feel, and materialize these thoughts, words, and actions.

While we cannot expect to understand with our minds what is happening in this space, still, the heart intelligence quickens.

And entrances us!! And romances us!!!

Steemit Vision Quest. Rediscovering the queen of the forest. by @girlbeforemirror

Way down unda, where the koalas climb down to the treetops and the kangaroos jump down to the sky, our beloved sister @girlbeforemirror sits upside-down, celebrating the summer season. And in that place where up is down, and down is up, she joins the Quest and invites us into her Journey. And she braves the storms, facing her fears, pushing through pains, sharing her triumphs and tribulations, and someway, somehow, she shakes loose a little something in us that was stuck, and she turns over a rock and lets out the bugs from underneath, and she launches lightning bolts, and sends raindrops racing back up to the clouds. It's a special kind of magic this lady brings. It's the kind of magic my brain wants to define, and deep inside I know it's only my heart that can know the ways she works wonders in the world, upside-down in Australia. I'm thankful for that part of my heart that draws near her and feels so warm.

Yes, and her Artwork is awesome. Am I right?! Coolness all over the place. A face made from eucalyptus bark. Wild feathers she's found, each one representing a certain terror she's facing, shaped into a crown, proclaiming that she is made mightier by laying out all that she's afraid of and illuminating it. These are only a few of the possibilities I see in this wellspring of possibilities! What a Wonder!! What a Vision!

“Be Well Bee” (Original Children's Book & Song) - Steemit Vision Quest Week 6 by @cabelindsay

While most of what we've seen so far in the Quest is new originals, the invitation is also open to old originals and fresh remakes. This entry is an old original: a children's book; along with a new original: a video storytelling. This story originated as a song, written in response to the mysterious disappearance of the bees, a.k.a. colony collapse disorder.

The Vision: Queen of Forest Tale. My entry to Steemit Vision Quest - Week 6. by @sashagenji

This entry is the first short story we've seen in the Vision Quest so far. And it's exceptional! @sashagenji's writing is a superb fit for the Quest, with its deeply inspiring message for the children of the world. She also add a great deal of enjoyment to the story with some visual support from an artist named Brian Kirhagis. Wildly fun images! Yes, and in the words of @rensoul17:

Story Excerpt:

After a short time, they all went into the forest. Kate was walking a bit behind her mum and grandmother who used this opportunity to collect some herbs. To her surprise she started to see the Queen of the Forest - she was sitting in a clearing with flowers, her voice was in the streams Kate always played with leaves-boats. She heard her laugh in the cries of birds and the stirring of leaves. After a while, it seemed that the Queen of the Forest was shown to her everywhere. Kate seemed to be surrounded by the Queen of the Forest whenever direction she would look. As if wherever she went, Queen Forest accompanied her.

Steemit Vision Quest - Week 6: “Queen Of The Forest” by @trucklife-family

Such a joy seeing another Vision by @trucklife-family. Here, the poet seems to speak from a plant's perspective, as if she herself is becoming a tree, experiencing the growth through branches above and roots below. This poem is alive with high-vibration, and reverence for the nature of life we see in our surroundings as well as the Nature we find inside.

The forest calls me,
The trees are calling me home,
My energy raises ,
My heart spirals towards the sun,
Extending my roots
Connecting with the life force of the world.
I feel the waves of gratitude
Swim out from me
And into the earth
Then grow.

Steemit Vision Quest Week 5: Queen Of The Forest by @fishyculture

Loving the imagination of @fishyculture, as well as her artistry. This Vision brings us back into childhood, where curiosity leads the way into all kinds of exciting new experiences.

Poem Excerpt:

My naked feet go scampering across the forest floor,
I heard "Be home for dinner" as I bolted out the door.
The elves and fairies greet me with all due admiration,
Others see chipmunks and squirrels, but that's an aberration.
A crown of scented blossoms is placed upon my brow,
All woodland creatures that I pass drop to one knee and bow.
Warmed by the sun, I stuff my mouth with juicy muscadines,
Then jump and grab and take a swing upon their knotty vines.
The creek is searched for polliwogs, crawdads and the like.
I'm quite confident and regal, for such a little tyke.
When at last I've inspected every inch of my domain
I begin to walk back to the world where I do not reign.
I'm fed and bathed and set before a glowing TV screen
But my heart's in the forest deep, where I am still the queen.

We appreciate these people for braving the storms of this day and bringing themselves into the Flow that is Steemit Vision Quest. This a true act of courage, and it deserves to be applauded, and rewarded. We wish for the humble beginnings of our rewards pool to grow immensely, so we can give with Great Spirit.
