Why might the community think Steemfest will be better with virtualgrowth there?... in an effort to raise funds and possibly win a ticket!

Would like to ask people in the community why they think Steemfest will be better with me there. Otherwise going to take some time to mention a few things I have done for Steem / community in one way or another. Really would love to go and meet so many people. So working on that and would appreciate help affording to do so. So please feel free to check out a few links of some things I have done over more than the past year.

Tried entering a contest before but didn't end up winning while also noticing this comment by @bitcoinparadise in reply to My Steemfest 2 Ticket Giveaway Nomination & Entry. Thank you to everyone for their support and nominations. We shall see if I manage to win or just get STEEM that will help me pay for my airfare this time around.

Also seeking to bring a person or two that is a member of the Steemit community and/or a hacker to have them come and participate in the hackathon and maybe the second one too. May end up helping one or two more people come in some form as well just to mention.

Part of my journey started writing for some pennies like most of us. Then one day I got a vote from some @berniesanders which I am forever thankful for and so much more. Last summer I found myself working with a group known as @steemprentice founded by @sykochica grown from: steemprentice Steem Mentor Apprentice Group Open Invitation to help and be helped on steemit, where many steem(it) users helped each other. Worked many months together in the steemprentice steemit.chat channel that grew to about 400 members. Now many of use are over on discord steem and crypto related channels with a few groups with over 1000 members! This led me to creating the @steemprentice account which was contributed to by around 100 members who receive a share of curation rewards and votes and they received their share just recently: Steemprentice Crowd Guild Sharing 55.026 Steem With Members. Some have inquired about joining so may change in some new members or create a new group with a different model.

This in part led me to joining in another community known as beyondbitcoin where I was invited by @Fuzzy to come talk and had joined almost every week for most of the last year. Although not so much lately with it being too early in the morning for me currently. Had the great pleasure of working with many people there and lots of support too! Bringing a few guests and introducing them there as well from time to time. Look forward to joining again sometime and just being around behind the scenes which has been much of my presence with numerous people reaching out to me from time to time from newer users and minnows to dolphins, narwhals, whales, witness, business minded people, and some interested in tokens which has been a great interest of mine that is shared with Fuzzy.

Then this summer found myself invited by @stellabelle to her Steem Summer Party where I got to meet @sykochica along with many others including @papa-pepper who gave me a T-shirt which just happens to be being worn as I type this post! Then @jacobts whom we had the great pleasure of meeting each other and spending time together before and after the Steem get together and had a place to stay the nights before and after the event which we had the great opportunity of @jessamynorchard coming to play live for us in the park and enjoying all the food that @stellabelle managed to put together for us all to enjoy! Also added more that I have met in person including @alfonso1003, @bluerthangreen, @clickinchicken, @fungusmonk, @goatgarden, @jasonrussell, @little-peppers, @melodyrussell, @pierrefilms, @rebeccabe, @reedracer, and @sylviategan with the chance ot meet so many more at Steemfest!

STEEMIT PARK Bench to be Sponsored by virtualgrowth

Found out there was a chance to sponsor a bench at Steemit Park in New York and couldn't pass up the opportunity as another way to be involved in our great community! Although I was not able to attend the park's opening I hope to visit some day. Especially where I have my own bench there with my name on it! Was yet another interesting way to be involved and support Steemit and the community. Steemit, Inc. also helped this project with $10,000 towards their efforts which many members of our community showed up to get the park together.

Was great to see the community support someone in need such as @darthnava with a post that reached over $17,000 in value to help with medical needs. Myself am dealing with some mental illness health matters myself which is part of why I have a great appreciation for seeing such action and result in the community.

Some of the projects I have assisted with helping to spread the word about and offering feedback to help improve upon initial ideas have included #steemgigs started by @surpassingoogle and #steemshop started by @samstonehill. Both of these projects along with countless others have served as some form of examples of proof of concept ideas that we as people may do with the steem blockchain and more.

Giving in one of the things that many of us love in this sharing / giving economy we know as STEEM. This is an example one of my many posts that offers to give to other and spear the word of others that are giving. A long time supporter of mine and friend, @virtualgrowth, who has also been an active Steemian since last July has been dealing with a lot of medical issues throughout his life time. He was born two months premature and later in life, he came to find out he has meningitis which lead to water in his brain. These issues have caused him a lot of headache in his life and I would like to help him out in anyway I can! I love you brother, @virtualgrowth! ~ @theprophet0

Completed a Steem(it) Loan experiment successfully with @mrwang with the last payment completed this past week: Steem Loan Experiment - 7th and last payment from mrwang as an example of how we may use STEEM, an account as collateral with members of the community to help someone in need. While finding working solutions to problems among higher rep members in the community with great appreciation of @quinneaker who contributed the bulk of this loan experiment and I greatly look forward to meeting at Steemfest along with countless others!

Also had an idea to make a post displaying the many images from @lauralemons posts which I mentioned here: Laura Lemons on Steemit in Pictures Idea Part One. Have these images and links laid out to put together a story of pictures that may be viewed and clicked on to visit many of her writing and pictures that many of us had appreciated in her expression of herself in her our journey of life. Recall talking to her some at times like many others although our chats were a little different having found a common understanding with this thing called an "invisible illness" which I find myself with as well although fortunately enough to not be struggling as much as others like herself while still seeing some aspects of life that many are not seemingly able to live through.

Upon noticing @biophil's P.O.C.K.E.T. idea with a proof of concept token idea I had to jump at the opportunity to join in the idea! So I talked with him behind the scenes about creating a bitshares POCKET token which may be traded on bitshares with the main trading pair of POCKET/BTS. many people are having fun trading POCKET tokens and testing out the protocol and giving the tokens are rewards and gifts which fits right in line with out gifting economy that numerous refer to. virtualgrowth to speak at Google Launchpad Space in San Francisco September 6th

Finding more opportunities to help more people including speaking about crytocurrencies at Google Launchpad one week, and another attending a private Fintech event with much to learn and many great people to meet. Steemit MeetUp in Las Vegas Idea This Month! - Who? Where? was just initially some thought of a possibility that didn't come together until on a bus ride to Vegas making plans from the bus! Created a token on bitshares called PRIZE to be given away to make things easier to simply give away a main token which then may be exchanged for whatever other asset / crypto / token may be desired. While also incorporating a surprise twist of an idea to be added to the mix soon. Finally Played in a SPL - Steem Poker League Event and Won!

Been meaning to play poker with the @spl Steem Poker League and finally got the chance to recently after having told others and even making posts to let other people know about it with poker being one of my other passions after of course STEEM and crypto. And I even won which was a nice bonus and surprise while making some new friends too! Great job by @bethalea getting to the end with me who makes being in the league fun too!

You may find me and many others on discord in this channel and a little more than two dozen others! I spend a fair amount of time there helping people who message me once in a while like many of us there. From new users to minnows. Few people with ideas about projects that I am more than happy to help with. Also an honor when some witness of whale? or other bigger user of some sort messages me or calls me for my input which reminds me that I have value in this great community that we have all built together! Look forward to any assistance towards getting to Steemfest and even more so for the opportunity of going there and meeting everyone there!
