Mini Motivation #95 - Living Your Life At The Red Line

in #psychology6 years ago (edited)

Ever seen someone who's living their lives at the extreme - work hard, play hard, all go no quits, sleep are for dead people?

I have, and I admit at one point of my life, I did as well. As a matter of fact, sometimes I still do, especially on the emotional front. Let's face it: in relationships people will stress you out. Your loved ones will stress you out. Arguments, disagreements, jealousy, anger, backlash, the feeling of being taken for granted... All those can get bottled up inside, pushing the internal meter towards your limit.

Like how pushing your car consistently at the red line is going to damage the engine in the long run, so will your emotions. Keeping it inside for too long, saying to yourself that you can take it, and that you can suppress it, is just pushing yourself closer to the red line.

Again, like driving a car, the key in keeping the car in great shape, is to drive it at the "optimum" range. You'll get a longer lasting engine, better fuel economy, and often times, you have a greater time as a driver as well. You are in control, because you know if you need to speed up, you can, and you can always come back to the optimum zone later to recuperate and realign yourself.

So, if you got stuff bottled up, talked to the right people. If it's something that has been bothering you - the injustice that you see, the unfairness that you witness - then voice out. Steemit is a great platform to express your views. If you have buried emotions against a loved one, don't live a life of regrets and miss the opportunity to make things right. Unload the burden, and drop yourself from the red line to the optimum zone.

Mini Motivation is my own daily strategy to inspire myself. Mostly 3-minute reads.

From Motivation, we gain Inspiration. From Inspiration, we achieve Momentum. And the rest, they say, is history.

Hope it helps nudge you a bit too in the right direction.

Oh it did? Let me know in the comments, and of course an upvote would be a nice motivation for me. :)

Stay awesome!

Wait, why's Mav posting on Steemit nowadays?

Well, unlike other blogging and social media platform, Steemit is the only platform that allows me to earn cryptocurrency when I engage with it. Yup, one Steem is about USD5, and you, too, can earn Steem Dollars every time you:

  • Create content (articles, blog posts, podcasts, videos, photos)
  • Upvote (like) other people contents
  • Comment on other people's posts
  • Have discussions, share opinions etc!

Yup, basically it's the very same thing you're doing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc all along!

The only difference? For once you can earn a nice income on the side!

Sign up for a free Steemit account, and you can thank me by coming back and upvoting this article. And guess what, you will earn Steem too for doing that! #awesome

Good choices produces good results.

People just need to know what they want out of life...a lot of people don't and that's why it seems life ain't favourable for them.

Only people who always put their life at the red line will enjoy the fullness of life. Dare to dream and must do it as well. Great sharing @maverickfoo!

Well, we are our choices :)
