I'm strange in my city [Day 12]
I'm strange in my city
I'm strange in my city
I am a pilgrim in my city,
I walked the same streets years ago
And I feel like I do it for the first time
What changed in me? I'm the same person?
The king died, he listens on the radio
We are caught in a trap
I can’t go out
Because I love you too much, honey ...
Me, playing marbles,
Looking for trophies.
Where did my childhood friends go?
Strange people inhabit what were their houses
I walk the streets,
I whisper, José, Juan ... where are they?
The voices are off.
My youth is running away
Naughty! Do you also abandon me?
I hope to find a friend,
But youth will never return.

For a while I thought I was reading Marquez there. Indeed, these words dance.
Thank you, friend, it is an honor to compare it with a great writer. Greetings.
Great work , cordero. Very effective of varied style.
Thanks friend.
There is this saying that you can never truly return home :( well captured here in your words.
Thank you for your words, my friend
Except maybe in the mind. I liked the subtle sense of melancholy and wonder at the process of life and ageing.
Thank you. Yes, youth can be preserved in the mind
Change is inevitable and with it come strangeness.
Yes, memory sometimes divides the soul. Thanks for your words. Greetings.
And I feel like I do it for the first time.
This line is a bit awkward, you might try to find another way to say this. I think you could say something like. It feels like the first time I've done it or I feel like a stranger here. There are a number of other ways, I understand that English is not your first language oh, so I'm just trying to be helpful. Let me know if I've overstepped my boundaries. It's been nice seeing you on the Discord Channel.
In no way do your words bother me. On the contrary, they help me grow. I struggle with language.
Well I think you're doing very well with that struggle, in fact I don't even know if I'd call it a struggle. More like a dance. Regardless, I really enjoy reading your words.
