"So Many People, So Little Time" - A Poem from Nearly 20 Years Ago
I wrote a lot of poetry back during my undergrad days, but once I found that I enjoyed doing fiction more, I never picked it back up (despite filling a huge notebook with well-transcribed versions along with accompanying images). Since Steemit seems to have a thriving (and growing) poetry community, I thought I'd add a little fuel to that particular fire. I hope you enjoy :)
If murder was legal,
I'd be the most law-abiding
of the World.
So many people, so little time,
So few ways to make death
Creative and fun.
I'd settle for interesting
If the former two
Are unattainable.
Passing out sentence and punishment,
I'd be the Santa of Halloween,
Finally giving all those father-beaten
Children the gift they've always wanted,
But could never afford themselves.
