Today I am giving away all of my mother's books and my old children's books to one person from Craigslist - This is a long time coming. Whew!

When my mother died in 2013 we had a buyer for all this stuff but I had so much sentimental attachment that I chose to drag these books around the country for a while. I hoped to sell them on ebay - but never could. There are a lot of first editions in this pile - Catcher In The Rye, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Signed Books by May Sarton (my mom's friend), and on and on. Maurice Sendack and Dr. Seuss - but I just have not been able to sell them and it makes my heart hurt whenever I try and fail.

So, I am giving them all away today!

This morning, I ripped up tons of family pictures too! What a RELIEF! I never look at them. I don't know who half these people are. And I just DO NOT CARE. My dad was a photographer so there were STACKS of pictures of me and my every wee move when I was a baby. OMG!

Rip! Rip! Rip! No MORE! BE GONE!!! Ashes to Ashes Dust to Dust!!!

The rest of the art is going to go to a friend of mine and my neighbor. It's snowing today so my friend wants to reschedule.

Also, Crazy Boy called from the hospital and sounds more "even" - maybe the meds are working, so I have a little more time.

Here's my door to keep him out.
