Open Mic is an online, live music venue to give musicians a chance to share their music with the Steemit community and it seems to be working.
It's all in good fun and community spirit and I want to thank everyone for their enthusiastic support.

Just to be clear, the winners are not the one's with the most votes. That's just one phase of the judging process. Then there is entertainment value, originality, and performance.
Oh. lol my bad.
I know I need to sing again, last weekend I lost my voice again and I've been too busy to do it during the week! I've got to enter the next one!!

Steem currency has seriously dropped today, the contest post was closing in on 120 bucks at one point in the night... Ah well.
You know about thirsty record's becoming the world's first blockchain music label today of all days right? There's definitely not enough coverage. The owner's post, and then my reference in the post I put up to try and promote the contest...No, there needs to be hype around something like that. Maybe if a group of us post about it one right after another, have the news about the label in the title, the link to thirsty records inside the blog then put the post you have that links over to the contest underneath it. We could saturate a few areas. Along with openmic and music, it's also steemit news and blockchain. That's of course if they take the time to open the post instead of just hitting the vote...still, it's an idea. It could gain attention.
Well I took my own advice and it was resteemed by two people :)

Great entries but a distinct lack of female voices! Sorry I didn't have an entry this week. I was focused on trying to get more video clips for @winstonwolfe's project. I'm warming up my voice for a little Schubert come Monday or Tuesday :D
