It's In Your Head, Zom-bay, Zom-bay, Zom-bay-ay-ay-ay-oh-oh: you got me
I don't know if this is something that is common with everyone or not, but I seemingly wake up with a song already in my head every single morning. There is often no reason why it should be there. I hadn't heard it in the previous day, hadn't discussed it, nothing.
TODAY'S ENTRY:
THE ROOTS (featuring ERYKAH BADU) - You Got Me
There's actually a music video for this song, but the versions I could find on here seem to all be edited. I think editing words out of music for fear of offending someone is... well... it's butchering a song.
It ruins songs, and every dumb kid in the world can still figure out what words they cut out anyway. So now they're just listening to choppy butchered songs and saying the curse words in their head over the empty, shitty space.
Your kids know the fucking words already. You can't save them. :)
Anyway, now that that rant is over. This song is great. But let's be real... you can probably imagine which part I got stuck in my head. The Erykah Badu part, of course.
This is one of my favorite albums by the Roots, and one of my favorite hip hop records ever. That's because I'm a 39 year old white dude, though. It makes sense. ha.
Do you wake up with songs in your head on a regular basis? What song was in your head this morning? Comment below, I'd love to hear from you!

This chain went bankrupt and closed in USA but is still alive in Canada. I saw a new commercial last night which triggered this song to be bouncing around my head this morning.
More games more toys more commercialism oh boy!
Wowwww nice music series 💫🎼🎵
