16 It's In Your Head, Zom-bay, Zom-bay, Zom-bay-ay-ay-ay-oh-oh: 5 August 2018
I'm starting a new experiment. I don't know if this is something that is common with everyone or not, but I seemingly wake up with a song already in my head every single morning. There is often no reason why it should be there. I hadn't heard it in the previous day, hadn't discussed it, nothing.
TODAY'S ENTRY:
Richard Edwards - Olive Oyl
When I say I have this song in my head, I don't mean the whole song. I mean the line "Olive Oyl kissed me at the Ace Hotel" line, over and over again. If I continue this list for a long time, you will probably see most of the songs that Richard has written.
As this experiment has gone on, I've only missed one day. If you look at the list, there's no entry for July 25th. I may have had a song in my head that morning, but I didn't have time to realize it. I had mistakingly slept in far too long and scrambled out of bed and headed to work.
It also seems pretty obvious that what I listen to throughout the day has more to do with the songs stuck in my head than I thought, because they stick to themes, much like my musical selections.
Do you wake up with songs in your head on a regular basis? What song was in your head this morning? Comment below, I'd love to hear from you!

Today I woke up with Beethoven's Alegri Anthem, I immediately remembered your post and I wanted to share with you.
The Symphony No. 9 is the last complete symphony by the German composer Ludwig van Beethoven. It is one of the most transcendental, important and popular works of music and art. His latest movement is a surprisingly unusual choral ending in his time that has become a symbol of freedom. Precisely, an adaptation of the symphony, made by Herbert von Karajan is, since 1972, the anthem of the European Union (EU) .1 In 2001, the original score of the symphony was inscribed in the Record of the Memory of the World of UNESCO, where it is part, along with other outstanding monuments, of the spiritual heritage of humanity.
