10 Fun Facts About Sing (2016) That Will Wow You

Hi movie marauders! Sing was released December 21, 2016, and got a 73% on Rotten Tomatoes. This movie is from Illumination, who brought you Despicable Me/Minions/The Secret Life Of Pets. I really enjoyed this movie, and the music. Sing has an all-star cast, with amazing talent (Matthew McConaughey, Scarlett Johansson, Reese Witherspoon, Taron Egerton, Seth MacFarlane, Jennifer Hudson, etc.). I think that this movie was way better than Illumination's The Secret Life Of Pets. Sing had a heart and a soul, and a very good plot. Let's take a look at some fun facts about Sing that will wow you!

1. Buster Moon (played by Matthew McConaughey) slips into a secret passage, which is a hole in the wall-covered by a poster. This is similar to how Andy Dufresne (played by Tim Robbins) escapes prison in The Shawshank Redemption (1994).

2. The words "Made in China" are printed on the back of Miss Crawly's eye (which pops out on the keyboard).

3. Sing is Taron Egerton's (who plays Johnny) first animated movie, and it was a great choice to do because this movie has singing (which he is very good at and loves to do).

4. When the theatre becomes flooded with water, Johnny (played by Taron Egerton) saves everyone--he pushes Meena (played by Tori Kelly) into the exit. In Kingsman: The Secret Service, Taron Egerton's character Eggsy saves people when their room becomes flooded with water.

5. The mask that Big Daddy wears (Johnny's father) is Snowball (played by Kevin Hart) from The Secret Life Of Pets.

6. Sing defeated the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002) as being the highest grossing film to not be #1 at the Box Office.

7. Mike (played by Seth MacFarlane) is based on Frank Sinatra--Mike even sings Sinatra's song "My Way." (both have a short temper, related to organized crime, and dress the same way).

8. When Ash's (played by Scarlett Johansson) guitar gets unplugged, she stomps her foot. In real life, porcupines stomp their foot as a warning if they are scared.
