Hello movie marauders! Murder On The Orient Express is being re-imagined again, but this time by director Kenneth Branagh (director of Thor). Murder On The Orient Express is a novel written by Agatha Christie in 1934, and was a movie in 1974. The script is written by Michael Green (who co-wrote Logan/Alien: Covenant). Murder On The Orient Express is a mystery/crime film, and is set to release November 10, 2017. If you haven't seen the trailer for it, click on the video below!! In this article, we are going to take an in depth look at what Murder On The Orient Express is about/who's in the movie/how good this movie will be. Let's get started!

Plot

Thirteen Passengers set foot aboard the Orient Express. This luxurious train ride is halted when one of the passengers is murdered, and the train is stranded in a very bad winter storm. Detective Hercule Poirot interrogates all the passengers, finds clues, and tries to find out who the killer is before they strike again. I am not sure who is killed or who did it because I want to be surprised when I watch the movie. I really like mystery movies, and being shocked when finding out who did it and what their motives are. Judging from the trailer, I am assuming Johnny Depp's character, Ratchett, is killed because we do not see him talking to Poirot (as a suspect). Also, "the widow" (Mrs. Hubbard) is the woman Ratchett was seen with in the trailer. The train looks like an amazing setting, and I love the wardrobe. I think this movie is going to be very entertaining to watch, and I hope that I am surprised at the end of the film.

Cast

This is a very star studded cast. All of these actors have done great performances, and I am very excited to see them in this movie.

Daisey Ridley as Mary Debenham-"The Governess"

Mary Debenham is unmarried and young. She is governess to 2 kids in Baghdad.

Daisey Ridely plays Rey In Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She will reprise her role in The Last Jedi this December.

Johnny Depp as Ratchett

Ratchett believes that his life is in danger when he goes on the train.

Johnny Depp plays Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Michelle Pfeiffer as Mrs. Hubbard-"The Widow"

Mrs. Hubbard speaks her mind and is a widow, and is American. She is educated and brash.

Penelope Cruz as Pilar Estravados-"The Missionary"

Pilar is a Spanish missionary and a nurse. She is humble.

Penelope Cruz plays Angelica in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Josh Gad as Hector MacQueen-"The Assistant"

Hector is smart, likeable, and is Ratchett's assistant. He can't stand Ratchett only a little bit.

Josh Gad plays LeFou in Beauty and The Beast (2017) and Olaf in Frozen.

Kenneth Branagh as Hercule Poirot

Hercule is from Belgium and is the detective who investigates the murder.

Kenneth Branagh is also directing Murder On The Orient Express.

Willem Dafoe as Gerhard Hardman-"The Professor"

Gerhard is a stern German professor. He mainly keeps to himself, and observes everyone else.

Willem Dafoe will play Nuidid Vulko in Justice League 2017. Dafoe has played Green Goblin in Spider-Man (2002).

Judi Dench as Princess Dragomiroff-"The Princess"

Princess Dragomiroff is Russian, and is graceful/aristocratic.

Judi Dench plays M in Skyfall.

Leslie Odom Jr. as Dr. Arthbuthnot-"The Doctor"

The doctor is humorous and charming.

Leslie Odom Jr. won a Tony for his performance as Aaron Burr in Hamilton.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Marquez-"The Salesman"

Marquez is a confident and risky car salesman.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo plays Vasquez in The Magnificent Seven.

Derek Jacobi as Edward Masterman-"The Butler"

He is a very polite butler to Ratchett, and is very loyal to him.

Derek Jacobi plays The King in Cinderella (2015).

Olivia Colman as Hildegarde Schmidt-"The Maid"

Hildegarde has worked for Princess Dragomiroff for years as her loyal maid.

Sergei Polunin as Count Andreyni-"The Count"

The Count is traveling lavishly on a diplomatic passport from Hungary. He is very protective of his wife.

Lucy Boynton as  Countess Andreyni

The Countess is shy and beautiful, and wears fashionable clothing.

Marwan Kenzari as Pierre Michel

Pierre is the conductor of the Orient Express, and wants to keep his passengers safe.

How Good Will It Be?

I think it will be a great movie because of the director (Kenneth Branagh) and the story. I think this movie will turn out to be a great mystery that is entertaining from start to finish. I have watched the trailer many many times, and it has made me very anxious to see this movie. I love how the movie is set on a train, and the wardrobe. All of the characters look very cool, and fit their personality (the giant mustache on Hercule Poirot is pretty funny). I am going to guess that it will get around an 82% on Rotten Tomatoes. We will just have to wait until November to see how good this movie is!!
