This is a weekly overview of my personal handicapping and live betting results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League with some insights on my overall approach.

Exactly halfway through the regular season with some solid overall profit despite now having a second losing week in a row. Making long term profit with sports betting is a real grind and this week was a perfect example of this. Most positions and ideas were quite good but short term luck plays a big part and the edge is limited which makes the number of bets needed for a sample to mean something really big. Proper Bankroll Management is key in surviving the swings over time which makes everything much less exciting than it seems, slowly grinding out profits over time.

My biggest position this week was on the late over in Zulte-Waregem vs Genk at 0-1 score both on the Over 1.5 @ 2.81 and Genk +0 @ 2.02. The expected huge 1 on 1 counter chance came but was unfortunately missed which had a 1.5k swing as result.

Both pre-game posted early bets won. Charleroi was a typical under match while Kortrijk was pretty much a coin flip despite being up 3-0 at some point.

Still looks pretty good to me. Do you have any particular process or changes to your betting for reversing a negative trend? It is something I have struggled with in the past. The correct answer is probably NO and just to trust what I'm doing but I sometimes go into a tailspin and have to make a change to pull out of it.

Having gone trough the ups and downs many many times really helps to put them in perspective and understand variance in how big of a sample is really needed to say anything. In that regard I truly don't care if things go up or down when I believe the betting itself was good.

Poor betting itself usually comes from some kind of emotional instabillity which can be a result of a random downswing, upswing followed by slacking, personal issues or problems, financial pressure.
Most of this can be prevented by understanding the mechanics and simply staying sharp. Eat healthy (plant based), work out, sleep enough, take supplements (Omega3-B12-D3), meditate,...
