You are How You Love
Love was the most hashtagged phrase on Instagram in 2017. Is this because we are desperately needing more of it in our days, or is this because we are seeing more examples?
Love takes many forms, but is the cornerstone of life.
I wrote a lot about love in 2017 here on Steemit now that I think about it. I wrote how loving touch is necessary for survival, how the lack of it is literally killing people and becoming an epidemic more prevalent and deadly than smoking and obesity, and most of my fiction involves #love in some way- here I did my very first Freewrite from @mariannewest to show that even cherished objects feel the destruction of being forgotten and unloved.
Love is absolutely necessary and loss of it hurts something fierce. Doctors have finally admitted that breakups cause physical pain.
There are so many ways to love, and a million more to show it. I absolutely believe it's truly the little things that count. Sure you remember that big, huge gesture, but you fell in love because of all the little ones ;)
Living in fear of being hurt is living in a self imposed prison. You will not be able to experience all the joy, bliss, happiness, love, and yes, even heartbreak, that makes life. You will limit yourself, and that is what brings deathbed regret.
Love without expectation. Love without want. Love absolutely and completely. You are how you love <3

You could not be more accurate. Withholding love and being bitter is not what you want when you are 89 years old in the nursing home. Unfortunately I see a lot of it in my profession. Some people never married, drove off family and never reconciled, etc etc etc. I know there are many variances but some of it is pure stubbornness on the behalf of the person and I can see the regret in their eyes whether or not it is ever verbalize.
Exactly. If pain will come, it will come- but it will be far briefer than all the good time you allowed in <3

That's true, our life became fast and advanced that we forgot that our body suits the organic way of life but we stucked within the more and more technological developments and living in virtual world, talking in virtual world and making friends in virtual world, we slowly stopping the organic verbal talking between people. Love is really important aspect of anyone's life but nowadays life is so fast and everyone is living in rat race, so it's really difficult for love to adjust with the people. Thanks for sharing.

It's interesting that (romantic) love is such a central precept of our culture. I actually spent many years believing that it was my central principal as well, my driving force so to speak. With time I realized that actually that core, important value for me was freedom rather than love.
I guess the point I'm meandering towards is that love (at least in the romantic sense) is definitely not the be all and end all of many people's lives. For others, for sure, it's their core principal. We are conditioned though to believe everybody has to 'be with someone' but this isn't really the case. There are actually recent studies which suggest that single-by-choice people can have richer and more socially involved lives than members of couples. Certainly food for thought :)
It definitely does not have to be romantic love. Platonic love is a needed emotion. As long as you have someone to talk to, someone who knows you, a sense of belonging, any love is healthy and nourishing <3
Oh yeah, for sure this one I agree with. We are a social species after all :)
Its really crazy. I have loved, and was loved back, but it all later disappeared. Maybe that wasn't love, maybe that was lust. But, i felt something then, the same thing i'm trying to hold myself back from feeling again.
But it all boils down to the expecting some kind of things from those we love. Its best we just assume that may all disappear oneday in a flash, so we try and enjoy it while it lasts.
