How Long is Long Enough?
"Things take time," they say.
Patience is sold to us
like a virtue that
allows us to
welcome success in time.
"Don't give up easy," they say.
But how long
until it's time to let go?
How do we ever know
that things are no
longer worth the wait?
How do we ever know
that we've been patient
for sufficient time?
How long is long enough
to wait for answers to appear,
conclusions to be made,
paths to change?
How long before
I see you?
Or is it too late already?

Exactly! I've had these thoughts going in my head sometimes too. Thanks for expressing them and letting us know we're not alone. Like, I know patience is a virtue and all that, and things that are worthwhile take time, but sometimes you don't know if you're just waiting for a miracle that will never come...
That feeling of uncertainty sucks. I like how at the end there is a sudden sort of "twist" as you mention a "you". So this could hint to how you may be referring to a particular person that you're waiting for that you're not sure would come around. Nice twist and relatable words. Thanks for sharing. :)
