Welcome to the Drawing Challenge !

Last round's theme was clouds chosen by marty-art, as he really enjoy painting clouds.So he was amazed to see so many Steemians enter the contest with so much variety, original, unique, with some ideas he has never even considered. It was awesome to browse trough so many clouds!

He also said:

As difficult as it it is to choose four winners, I tried to objectively (though art is very subjective) watch all entries(37 entries). Not all can win, but I upvoted all entries - except for the posts that were older than 7 days, but I will upvote other posts by those Steemians. I underestimated choosing four winners, but I had to choose anyway. Once again: all entries had their qualities and I was charmed to see so much diversity.

I would like to say once more how difficult it was to choose - these 5 Steemians came really close to making the top 3, but I had to choose, so a big shout-out to @bypic, @nikita-onopko, @fr3eze, @amalinavia and @theia7!

Is it a drawing? Yes. It's Photoshop? Yes! Is it an awesome cloud? Yes, very much! At first, I couldn't believe seeing this was a digital rendering of a huge, impressive cloud - the ones I love to watch on any summer's day. But the workflow made it clear. I enjoy the make-believe of this impressive cloud, @mocin has a keen eye for how clouds are perceived.

Quirky, funny, and yet with a deeper meaning - the fight of the natural, puffy white clouds versus the toxicity of the brown, man-made dirty smokeclouds. I don't usually put politics or society in my art, but this is just exquisitely to the point so I couldn't resist. And the clouds are drawn so naturally. Perfect match!

At first sight, this is an eye-blinding bolt-of-art, but there's so much more to it. When your eyes adjust to the pinks, yellows and purples - and your mind gives you nudges on how this is actually a stunning and subtle piece there's so much to see in to this. It's a vast scape of clouds in a sunset or sunrise. Whatever of those two, it even holds a faraway, mythical dragon in there, purging from the clouds, like a being that is one with them. This work surprised me, as I kept looking at it longer and longer. But I can't give it first place.. because..

Because this is - at the core a drawing contest about, just, well, clouds. And though impressive as all the entries were, @susanli3769 got it down tho the very basics - just pencils and clouds. I've painted quite a lot of clouds, so I know how difficult it is to do this with just pencils in shades of grey. It's impressive and I've been looking at @susanli3769's two entries for a long time now. And you know what? You can see lots of stuff in those clouds - just like in real clouds!

I hope more people could take part in the challenge , and it's very easy to take part in it. You don't have to be a professional painter or an art student. As long as you're interested in drawing and present your work perfectly, you have the opportunity to win the awards.

Yeah, marty-art is a guy, but marty-arts is a girl. they have similar names （but two different people）so that I'm confused for them last round. Sorry for that!

Marty-arts is an artist and teacher from Slovakia,and has studied glass design, made some glass pieces, but after school she work as a teacher of art and crafts and also piano. And enjoy painting mostly acrylic and watercolors, but also love to experiment with many different media. She took part in the Drawing Challenge two times and won every time. Her works are always full of fresh feeling and bright colors, which give you clean feeling.
So this time she choose the light as the theme, she hope she can see lots of possibilities for creating.

欢迎大家来到绘画挑战赛！

上期主题是我们的嘉宾评委marty-art 选的“云”，因为他本人非常喜欢画云。他很惊讶的看到这么多的steemians 来参加比赛。作品丰富多彩，原创的，与众不同的，还有一些想法他都没有想到。能够看到这么多精彩的“云”的作品，真是太好了！

他还说：挑选出四个获奖者真的很难，他尽量客观的看这些作品（尽管艺术是有主观性的）。不能所有的作品都获奖，但是他都投票给予支持。而且他低估了这个评选任务，但是必须的选。再次说一下，所有的作品都有自己的特点，都令他陶醉。这5个人的作品（@bypic, @nikita-onopko, @fr3eze, @amalinavia and @theia7!）同样优秀，只是名额有限。

她来自于斯洛伐克，是一名艺术家也是一名老师。主修玻璃设计，并且制作了一些玻璃作品。毕业后当了一名艺术老师也是钢琴老师。喜欢绘画尤其是丙烯和水彩画，也喜欢尝试用不同的媒介去创作。她也经常参与绘画挑战赛，并且每次都拿奖哦。她的作品风格清新自然，给人很干净的感觉。

所以这次她选了“光”作为绘画挑战赛的主题，她希望能看到很多关于表现“光”的可能性的作品。
