It has been an exciting morning for the 3 major cryptocurrencies covered in my blog here. #bitcoin, #ethereum, and Litecoin have all been part of the rising tide!

  • Bitcoin (BTC) is at $4,300.02, $380.29 Higher than at the same time yesterday, or Up 9.70%
  • Ethereum (ETH) is at $298.69, $21.36 Higher than at the same time yesterday, or Up 7.70%
  • Litecoin (LTC) is at $44.74, $2.27 Higher than at the same time yesterday, or Up 5.34%

August 16, 2017, Around 9:00 AM EST

  • Bitcoin (BTC) is at $4,114.48, $35.19 Higher than at the same time yesterday, or Up 0.86%
  • Ethereum (ETH) is at $295.68, $9.61 Higher than at the same time yesterday, or Up 3.36%
  • Litecoin (LTC) is at $42.52, $0.15 Higher than at the same time yesterday, or Up 0.35%

August 15, 2017, Around 5:30 PM EST

  • Bitcoin (BTC) is at $4,091.00, $181.17 Lower than at the same time yesterday, or Down 4.24%
  • Ethereum (ETH) is at $281.97, $17.14 Lower than at the same time yesterday, or Down 5.73%
  • Litecoin (LTC) is at $43.25, $2.04 Lower than at the same time yesterday, or Down 4.50%

Evolved08gsr's Analysis

Let's review each coin's performance since ~9:00 AM EST this morning:

  • Bitcoin (BTC): Starting at $4,114.48 and currently sitting at $4,300.02, there has been a Net Increase in Value of $185.54, or 4.51% since this morning.
  • Ethereum (ETH): Starting at $295.68 and currently sitting at $298.69, there has been a Net Increase in Value of $3.01, or 1.02% since this morning.
  • Litecoin (LTC): Starting at $42.52 and currently sitting at $44.74, there has been a Net Increase in Value of $2.22, or 5.22% since this morning.

Evolved08gsr's Trend Follow-Up

  • Litecoin appeared to be the first major currency to be turning around last night, and my morning trend view turned out wrong. Litecoin is still recovering!
  • For the second time over the past week, Bitcoin fell between the 12:00 AM to 1:00 AM EST time slot, but it returned back to the growth period between the 4:00 AM to 5:00 AM EST time slot.
  • There was no dip in Bitcoin leading up the 7:00 PM hour last night. Does this mean that BTC will fare poorly today?
    -- So far today things are looking up!
  • Ethereum and Litecoin continue to lack consistent trends. I feel that it is unlikely for a pattern to emerge until they become more mainstream / the amount of trading of these coins increases in volume.
    -- I'll keep an eye on this though :)
