Things seem to have been fairly steady overnight. #bitcoin fluctuated up and down, but overall has improved a bit, #ethereum has taken to a steady growth pattern, and Litecoin has gone down slightly.

  • Ethereum (ETH) is at $295.68, $9.61 Higher than at the same time yesterday, or Up 3.36%
  • Litecoin (LTC) is at $42.52, $0.15 Higher than at the same time yesterday, or Up 0.35%

August 15, 2017, Around 5:30 PM EST

  • Bitcoin (BTC) is at $4,091.00, $181.17 Lower than at the same time yesterday, or Down 4.24%
  • Ethereum (ETH) is at $281.97, $17.14 Lower than at the same time yesterday, or Down 5.73%
  • Litecoin (LTC) is at $43.25, $2.04 Lower than at the same time yesterday, or Down 4.50%

Let's review each coin's performance since ~5:30 PM EST last night:

  • Bitcoin (BTC): Starting at $4,091.00 and currently sitting at $4,114.48, there has been a Net Increase in Value of $23.48, or 0.57% since last night.
  • Ethereum (ETH): Starting at $281.97 and currently sitting at $295.68, there has been a Net Increase in Value of $13.71, or 4.86% since last night.
  • Litecoin (LTC): Starting at $43.25 and currently sitting at $42.52, there has been a Net Decrease in Value of $0.73, or 1.69% since last night.

Evolved08gsr's Trend Follow-Up

  • Although Litecoin appeared to be the first major currency to be turning around last night, it was apparently short-lived.
  • For the second time over the past week, Bitcoin fell between the 12:00 AM to 1:00 AM EST time slot, but it returned back to the growth period between the 4:00 AM to 5:00 AM EST time slot.
  • There was no dip in Bitcoin leading up the 7:00 PM hour last night. Does this mean that BTC will fare poorly today?
  • Ethereum and Litecoin continue to lack consistent trends. I feel that it is unlikely for a pattern to emerge until they become more mainstream / the amount of trading of these coins increases in volume.
