AA Gent impressed yesterday and I missed out live as I had a bet waiting to be approved right when the 1-0 was scored. It's always difficult to back a bigger favorite that takes the lead during the game because these matches often reverse at some point or have the team taking things slowly near the end if they managed to increase their lead. More matches and hopefully equally good opportunities today.

Moeskroen vs Anderlecht

So Anderlecht showed last week that their team is simply not good enough. I took a bet on Moeskroen +1 @ 1.99 While Anderlecht was playing their last match given their poor play also knowing Kums would be out. The day after Anderlecht fired their coach and I took profit on that bet since the line moved (Anderlecht -1 @ 2.17) and I did not want to go against the new coach shock effect (both bets were shared on the SBC Discord when I took them). Since that moment the odds increased a lot more on Anderlecht to the point where I might want to take a gamble on the well-known shock effect. I will wait it out live and see how it all goes. In the end, despite the player quality being below par, they still have a better team compared to Moeskroen. I'm looking forward seeing how this plays out and I will likely take the 1H handicap line on Anderlecht if they manage to start strong.

Sint-Truiden vs Kortrijk

Sint-Truiden at times are unreliable and it's a guessing game if they will have a good or a bad day. Kortrijk coach has played a defensive style which paid off for him but I have been unimpressed by the overall team performance. I took a bit on the Under 3 @ 1.884 line pre-game since I would not be surprised to see this one start rather closed down. The home team also has the ability to close down a match and defend a lead. The Kortrijk central defense duo Kumorzi - Kagelmacher also showed good things lately.

Waasland vs Lokeren

Waasland took surprise wins against both Antwerp and Club Brugge. They did get quite lucky in those matches and are still one of the main relegation candidates. Lokeren has been playing better lately but often give it all away late in the match. They did take the deserved 2-0 win at home against Sint-Truiden last week and are the team coming from behind being able to overtake Waasland with a win. When 2 teams that are close in standing meet, the one below in standing often play a more free game while the one on top often seems overly concerned with not wanting to lose. I took split bets between Lokeren +0.5 @ 1.810 and Lokeren +0.25 @ 2.06 and planned to also take some in BTC on this one but the odds dropped a bit overnight and are now below the minimum I need. I don't expect this to be a high quality match and will be looking out for the asians to offer corners and take some on the under if the odds are good enough.

Standard vs Oostende

Standard is also one of those teams where it's a guessing game if they will have a good or a bad day. Last week against Zulte-Waregem they played excellent and I will be looking for signs for them to continue this form. Oostende have been one of the most reliable teams when it comes down to underperforming against Top sides. They played a cup match in the mid-week and qualified for the next round despite leaving some players on the bench. So all action will be live in this match and I will closely be looking at the form of Standard and more Specific Carcela who was excellent again last match. A player like him having a good day makes all the difference for Standard. No Pre-Game Bets
